How do you deal with anger with a friend?

Title: How do you deal with anger with someone you care about.
I think my way is weird. I get violent, but it's directed inward not outward. If I feel like punching, I choose things that will not break, like steel doors or cement blocks. If I feel like hitting someone, I usually hit myself. Even when I get very angry I feel like Slamming my head against the wall instead of the person bringing out my anger.
So I guess, when I get angry, I take it out on myself.

Honestly, I keep it in. But the best way to address it is confronting the person.
Only then can you disperse the anger: by facing the source.

I will usually try to politely point out what is pissing me off; In some cases I may shout something off-hand (and usually apologize sometime after the matter had passed).

Amongst close friends? Hell even among friends I don't know as well, If they're acting like morons, or do something I percieve as stupid, I damn well let them know it.
I have a very very short temper and I know that, so I've learned not to take things too seriously, lest I try to punch someone out.
But if they cross that line, I have no problem yelling at them.

I used to just let it blow over (and it usually did) but there were a few times where it was serious enough that... I stopped being friends with them, not petty shit either. Theft, lying about said theft and then starting a fist fight and losing it = no friend of mine.

I will just be honest with friends if they are doing something to anger me, no point in being pissed off inside.

Usually I try calm down, play a little Bully, beat the crap out of nerds (in the game mind you), then I confront them about the matter.

If it's at a person, just think about how he'll be dead one day, and then I feel better.
At a videogame, throw controllers at the wall, etc...

I ruined countless NES controllers as a youngster doing that.

Unfortunately, I keep my anger within myself. Habit of most introverts I think.
It's when it unexpectedly explodes that one should worry about.

If it is a very close friend of mine (like a brother actually) we usually just mock each other if we were to be angry at each other. Maybe we don't talk for a day or two, and then it's back as usual.
For normal cases, I usually didn't show any emotion to any people. Not anger nor love (that's why I'm still single). And I end up taking anti-depressant cause the doc said I might "explode"..

Works differently with different friends. When I'm angry with my guy bestfriend, I usually snob him in such an obvious manner that he ends up apologizing over and over again, till he eventually does something to make me laugh. With my girl bestfriend, we usually argue about it for a while, but then forget about it the next day.
I don't about you guys, but all the arguments I've had with my friends in the past managed to get us closer and even made us less likely to stay mad at each other.

I would confront him and solve our problems, if he doesn't want to make up with me then he is not my friend.

Ive got an old punching bag setup exactly for this reason. I broke my hand hitting a wall when I was upset once when I was 15, so my dad bought me a punching bag. And trust me, it works great!

Well I have this friend I've known for 7yrs, and we later became cousins. Sometimes we get into an argument and talk shit to each other for several minutes. It dies down then it returns to normal like nothing happened. We laugh it off and start commenting on how retarded and stupid it was, then laugh at how it started in the first place. This friend-turned-cousin is some guy on some hentai site called FAKKU with the SN of _Raven_ btw. Send him hate mail =P

As per in my case, i just keep silent and laughing , try to hide my anger ...
well, in here making fun of you is rarely serious ... so it's better if i keep head cool
but, in some cases ,
there is a person who making fun too far .. i have no doubt to punch him if i find it necessary so he can shut up ..
different case , different solution
