How do you feel about women on their periods?

could the ladies inform me if a good, long, compassionate hug would do any good? ive always thought that if there isnt any words to help express myself or help the situation, thats what ill improvise with. i like to think that a proper hug is comforting, the rhythmic beat of the others heart becoming somewhat of a soothing sound. you need to put effort into it though, actually care about the embrace!

 Yes, that would help.
I used to go to my ex's all the time during my period. It really wasn't anything different except lacking sex, we'd just watch TV or play video games. One time I did get sick while walking and he offered to give me a piggy back home lol I said no.
But he just gave me a hoodie to wear outside since it was chilly and made me something to eat when we got home.

Although I can get pretty bitchy when I'm on my period, I usually just get...weepy. Really weepy. And I cause drama cause I take everything too personally in that time. I'll cry for hours. But I'm usually not in pain, mine don't hurt very often. Still, not fun.
Oh, and, boys? One bonus of the period: some girl's boobs will grow by almost half a cup size while they're on their periods. (Myself included.)

Really? Why haven't I noticed?
My boobs don't ever feel any different. I don't think it counts for everyone. Unfortunately.

Haha, I'd almost need two different sets of bras. xD It sounds crude, but...my regular ones can hardly hold my boobs in at that time of the month. o.0

My coworkers have figured that out.

Hmm...well at least you don't go bitchy and emotional too. It's true that cramps are far worse than a few tears and ragefits; but if men think they don't like to be around a pmsing girl? Try BEING the pmsing girl. >< You KNOW you're not in a rational emotional state, but there's nothing you can do about it. Some girls will have crying jags over not being able to make toast without burning it. Seriously.

Yea, that's what I hated about my birth control the first month while I was adjusting to it or missing it. I'd be crying over nothing, and then crying because I was crying, and then getting pissed off because I was crying and couldn't stop.
It's really frustrating to not have control over your body.

ive figured out by now that periods are a different experience for every girl, but im just curious on what you might think of this little riddle:
would or could the pill effect the influence the cycle has on your body? maybe you dont get so emotional because of them ziggy. just brainstormin' but i thought id get your two cents.

No, even while I was off the pill I wouldn't be emotional, I'd just be in absolute horrendous pain.
The pill used to make me emotional when adjusting my body, the doctor said its a common side effect. Then I used to get emotional if I missed my pill. But I mess up on my pill so often that I think my body is used to it now.

I honestly don't go through as much pain as most girls are complaining about. So, I can't really have much of any say on it.
I mean, seriously after a few years you kind of get used to it.. so I don't know why most girls complain about it so much. I do understand the moodiness
but a lot of girls I know that got their periods at the age of 12 and are 20 right now are STILL complaining about bleeding. =/
Seriously, you've been going through it for a week, every month for over five years now.

I did not know that boobs could get bigger on your period.
Thought that only happened after you had a kid and started lactating.
I'm glad mine don't get bigger. Dx I think I might have back problems if they did. They do tend to hurt though when you touch them.
@ Rayne: Yeah, the worst mine has ever been I was throwing up in the bathroom and had a horrible migraine at the same time.
Then I was laying in a bathtub with warm water begging God to have mercy and crying for my mom and pleading with her to make it stop. Dx
That's happened about 5 times since my first period when I was 12. So now, since I loathe going through that I keep track of when I'm going to start so I can take 3 Advil the night before.
My liver or kidneys or something is going to be all fucked up once I start menopause because of how much ibuprofen I take on my period.
