Tegumi: Iphone is NOT a phone.I wouldn't get it.
Get a nice tv/monitor/video card/graphics card/gaming system/girlfriend
put all that in one package and you've got a deal.

Overrated would be the word I would use to describe the iphone. Then again, who am I to comment since I do not own one?
Like what the other members have mentioned, I believe some consumers purchased the iphone for "prestige", while there are others who do so just to follow the "iphone fad".

well, so far, only the people who actually have an iPhone actually speak well of it.It would see rather stupid to own an iphone and dislike it. If you don't like it you won't keep it or you wouldn't buy it in the first place. Iphone and similar devices are a "jack of all trades, master of none".

well people occasionally use dollars as a default form of currency, but if it's pounds, then it's damn expensive over there.

$200(~£100) for an iPhone? That five times less than here.

All I have to say about the subject is, "Kill the iPhones." I fucking hated iPods since they first came out and the second they started making other iBullshit, I wanted to stomp kittens.

I guess I think of it this way: is it useful and does it have some value to you(perhaps entertainment value in the case of the iPhone)?
I wouldn't buy and iPhone because there are other things I'd rather have instead, but if you feel your iPhone is worth what you paid for it in terms of usefulness and entertainment value, I'm not going to tell you you wasted your money.
We all spend money on stuff that someone else would think is useless, not worth is, wasteful, etc.
A lot of anime products are expensive and narrow in usefulness, but if we like anime enough to buy them and feel that they were worth the money to us, then we weren't wasting our money, it merely seems like to that an outside observer with different values and priorities.

No we do not recommend the Iphone. It is an over hyped device that only serves the purpose of showing off how much of a douche you really are. Then those douchebags buy the $1,000 app that lets people know that they should be shot and have everything sold then have the proceeds go to a reputable charity like the shriners.

My preference is for the standard iPod. I would rather get the additional storage space for my money than a touch screen.
