A large amount of ramen is very bad for you(Its super high in sodium). Be sure to balance you diet!

A good advice I have is a superstition from my country. It's when you move into the new place, the first thing you get into the appartment is some food you don't like that lasts for a long time(like noodles or oat meal or what not). That way you will never starve when you run out of food. In my case it's oat meal and salt since it will last for eternity.
Other than that just be prepared for some silence or slight lonlyness. (unless you get friends fast and they visit you or that you go outside alot)
Good luck with school.!

Also if you dont want to get lots of take out for obvious money shortage, you could invite ppl over for dinner and then you kind of NEED to cook or make some food. This will give you some trainig and you will get more comfertable to make food on ovens/stoves unless you already are comfertable with it :P
I even get stressed when i try to make egg and bacon! probably because i try to season it and both items cook fast. Very easy to panic (IMO) but that's how we learn :)

i am surprised no one really directly addressed this issue. Make sure you pack good amount of the destination country's currency before you leave. The thing is, you have to plan your travel/moving ahead of time. Read the world economics news, check the currency rates, and buy euros or English pounds ahead of time at a cheap price. This is more important than anything besides your health and well-being.
