[Locked] New Law Banning Lolicon?

But laws are based on morals. Like the moral of murder and theft being wrong, even though you'd think that if you can steal it then you deserve it.

Please don't mention theft. I don't want to hear anyone on this site talk about theft when every single one of us have pirated something even if just by downloading something from this site.
I find it to be so shallow when someone talks about theft like such a horrible then when chances are they have pirated something off the internet at least once in their life.

Exposure to sunlight usually causes my acne to become inflamed. And who wants to wear sunscreen? Going outside also means that I'll have to shower and brush more than twice a week, which is just inconvenient.

I am totally against banning lolicon. Here are my reasons:
1) I am sure, that it will not prevent distribution of lolicon. Even child porn can be find in internet without any problems, so this law will be totally ineffective.
2) When you prohibit anything, you should understand, that at the same moment the interest to this subject will grow up. I am afraid that this law may cause more damage, than benefit
3) I don't really see in the lolicon anything terrible. If we ban it, let's also ban yaoi and yuri and a propaganda of homosexual relationships, or even hentai, as something amoral. Lolicon is one of the countless genres, and not the worst, so I think that lolicon should be left untouched and no laws are needed.

If any of you have been following the political news in Japan, then you may harbour some hopes that lolicon will not be banned... at least for now.
Then again, for those living in countries where such genre of hentai is already outlawed, it wouldn't make much of a difference... I guess.

I don't see the point in banning lolicon, as long as no one actually acts out what they see in lolicon manga, anime, or hentai in real life there shouldn't be a problem. It's like cartoon porn, it's not real.

It's like cartoon porn, it's not real. That is true, but moralists have always been against these sort of things. Outrages regarding GTA games because supposedly they made kids go out and kill people, song lyrics encouraging revolution etc etc, are some examples. I can agree to SOME degree that it might put ideas into some nutcases' minds but it had to be there from the start, and I'm in no way for banning it. Down with extreme moralists imo, loli isn't hurting anyone. F*cking smurf politicians.

Well, hopefully this will raise hopes.

Yeah, it really screams of desperation, grasping for straws. They are just desperate to get ratings and viewers. There is no such thing as bad publicity, after all.

Lolicon may be protected under the First Amendment, but that is only if it passes the Miller Test. Well, what lolicon is going to pass the Miller Test? It's a stupid loophole that pretty much means lolicon really isn't legal in the United States.
Maybe something like Kodomo no Jikan could pass because the focus of the lolicon isn't to be obscene, and really has a more serious notion of the story that it focuses on, but that is about the only thing, off the top of my head, that could stand to pass.

Also, I don't socialize with anyone offline.Let's see, a person who tries to troll a hentai forum [x]

Gentlemen, I think we are just feeding a (possibly underage) troll who doesn't have friends. Remember: Don't feed the trolls.

My conclusion: This, my friends, is a prime example of an extreme Hikikomori.
I can't take you seriously, I just CAN'T!
now for the debate part: This is indeed the first stone of a mountain of censorship, what are they gonna ban next? Hentai in general? and then porn? And then everything which CAN be used to produce or depict offensive content? I don't think so, it would cause a massive shitstorm and protest everywhere, possibly more murders because nobody has an outlet, and then those who have banned it will be the first to die. At the moment, Sankaku is just begging for ANY kind of publicity, and we have given them that. damn...And besides, pirating games is illegal too, and guess what. cc.98%, yes 98% of dutch teens downloads music illegally, I can imagine that for adults, it will be a bit lower. But still, NOBODY is gonna be crazy enough to actually try and catch someone for 'omgwtfdairyqueenbbq he downloaded a DRAWING of a FICTIOUS small girl having sex!', when they have more urgent matters like murder and rape on their hands, hell, I dare to bet my life for it that somewhere in the world, there is at least ONE judge who has fapped to loli, does that make him a criminal? Hmm...If what Sankaku says is true, then some of my neighbouring countries have banned loli already, it won't be long until it strikes here. Meh, encryption!

From the person's now lack-of Hitler avatar, I think they've been banned. I don't really know, I dropped out of this after my little rant. It's pointless to argue.

It's when it's real that it becomes a problem.

THHEEEFFT XD
you weren't talking bout me right? I wasn't saying anything about it one way or the other, just an example about laws/morals/blahblah...
Anywho, is anyone actually still worried about this?

Meh, I'm not really worried one way or another. Even if it does get banned, lolicon will never go away and will be easy enough to obtain as long as you work at it.
