ok well heres my issue with him winning. remember the congress and president republican majority and what it did to the economy....? well guess what its happening again with democrats so theres a 95 % chance that the democrats are going to do the same thing that the republicans did , no checks, no balence, pray for the five percent chance that polticians will think about actually helping people instead of building public art, stadiums and other random shit. were in a deep recession, the last thing we need is any party running amok. weve been boned the past 4 years because our politicians are slimy douchballs who cant agree on how to fucking fix shit. im agnostic but imma start prayin to allah budda jesus shinto i dont effin care. pray that politicans start doing there jobs and compromising for uor sakes instead of a shitton of pork thattl send us into a full economic crash. remember .. if a president promises LEGISLATION hes a lyin prick whos taking advantage of the mass ignorance of the mass populus. the people with the true power in our government are the senate... which hopefully does not get a veto-proof majority. im sorry but checks and balences are fucking us. the president is basicly a figurehead and nothing more unless he issues and executive order ... well if a president does pull that shit in a radical way then some of us may use our right to bear arms. executive orders are the poket power of a president but if he uses one to pass "promised legislation" he is not fit to be prez that was a bit off topic but obama makes me nervous because i think he might try to do it.... if.... ok i dont even wanna think about it. well thanks much for listening to my long rant...... god were so (almost guarenteed)screweddude I didn't understand a word you just said.

I know your feeling guys (8 years with aznar in Spain 1995-2003)
This victory is good for the relationship with other countries (i dont need to talk about how is G.B with Spain, right?)

First off, I have to admit to all members on Fakku that I am somewhat ignorant about the ideals and proposed policies of both Obama and McCain during their period of campaigning. In my opinion, there are quite a number of politicians who are eloquent, but whether or not their actions match up to their words is another story.
Of course, I would like to congratulate Obama and all his supporters. Hopefully, he will live up to the expectations of all Americans, and perhaps, the rest of the world too.

I know right? It's all I've known for as long as I've been aware of politics and government. I'm honestly really looking forward to this :) Hope Obama lives up to his promise.

I think a lot of people will just be glad that the guy representing the United States to the rest of the world (at least in the media) doesn't talk like his words are vomit.
But really, I guess we will see now, yeah? Either it all goes further to shit or it doesn't. Worst thing that happens, government breaks down and we all change our nationalities. No big deal.

[size=10]I honestly don't believe that Obama or any other president can change much in just four years; not in a positive way. Yeah, something can be done.. but four years may not be enough. I mean, it's easy to make a horrible or negative change in four years, but not as easy to make positive change. It takes time.. but who knows, maybe we'll see something great within Obama's four year term. People may be disappointed though, to see that he may not bring as much change as they expect.
I don't doubt him, I just don't feel that four years is enough to fix this country up, as well as others.[/h]

People probably said the same thing when the first Bush went out of office and Clinton went in. And look how it turned out. Clinton did a pretty damn good job.
Now, the situations are very different, but hopefully the same sort of thing will happen.

Oh yeah, 67 years ago. And that was an attack on a Hawaii naval base. The last attack on an American city happened many, many years before that.

I was thinking more of war attacks, not terrorist attacks. Terrorist attacks are a lot harder than attacks of war because, well, they can happen anytime, in any country. If I got a couple of explosives and went down to my local city hall and blew myself up, that'd be a terrorist attack, and the strongest defense in the world wouldn't have prevented it.
Also, dealing with the whole 9/11 thing, the ability of the country to defend itself didn't play into it too much, because the terrorists hijacked regular planes, which typically aren't guarded by the army. Even if the country's defenses are great, things like that can still happen.

Wait.... so he REALLY said that?!
....maybe he's an otaku and stole that slogan!
(well, nothing is impossible. Obama proved that on nov.4 xD)
