plastic surgery,good or bad?

the title is self-explanatory.

Not really, for example, there is the where, the why, and the who that are hugely impactful in regards to if it is a good choice or not.

15 year old girl wanting a boob job? Not so much.

30 year old man who needs his face rearranged after a horrible accident? Pretty sure it's okay then.

I'm against breast augmentation. I prefer natural hooters. Breast reduction is understandable, you know if her boobs are causing back problems. But for the most part it's really just unnecessary surgery that they want.

Re-constructive plastic surgery (from after an accident or disease) is okay IMO...

Plastic surgery for beauty pursuit is kinda tricky to answer...

i suppse reconstructive plastic surgey is fine but cosmetic i find most, not all look pretty plastic afterwards.

One word. Moderation. Reduce, enlarge your breasts as needed but, fixing the problems on the outside doesn't fix the problems on the inside. Plastic surgery is a finger in the dike, a temporary solution. Surgery for beauty is rather stupid but, "tweaks" are fine like if you have a huge nose like my father then surgery to reduce it would be fine in my opinion..Seriously, its fucking huge! Screw Colorado I can ski down the bridge of his nose!

For reconstruction after a disease or an accident is acceptable. Just because some shit went down in their lives doesn't mean they have to live an abnormal life.

Fuck plastic surgery. If you're not happy with your body, get a fucking psychiatrist. Its another unnecessary quick fix that, IMO, proves that some sort of compulsory sterilization policy should be put into place. The only time its acceptable is when someone is disfigured to the point where they literally can't function. Don't get me wrong I respect people's decision to choose whether they should "look good" or not, but paying out the ass to have a procedure done that could turn out horribly wrong is fucking stupid. How much of the money poured into plastic surgery every year do you think goes to paying malpractice insurance and/or settlements for the unfortunate people or the families of people whose surgery goes wrong? Plastic surgery for the sake of social acceptance is one of those things that proves humanity is shoulder deep in the shit hole. I'm not gonna go all preachy, but it does kind of put a little tear in the moral fabric of society.

I don't like them. I don't want them. As much as I'd like a bit of a larger set my minds never wandered to breast implants. I don't feel as natural then, and yea. Plus when I think of a girl who has implants (a stereotype if you will) I always imagine her kinda prissy

Only if the person has some serious emotional issues about whichever part of their body. A 15 yo girl wanting a boob job isnt acceptable at all. Too many girls who actually get their breasts done just turn out too unnatural. Like i said, if shes emotionally unstable because of it i dont mind, but going from a A to DD... :?

The only time I could really understand it is like my moms friend Rita, she had breast implants because she went through breast cancer.

Facial Plastic surgery to fix or beautify extremely broken features is the only type I think should be allowed.

I think it's the whole thing about what the media considers beautiful being pushed on to everyone else, as well as an issue of woment giving into male desires that are based on more perverse ideals. I don't condone that, but at the same time I sometimes feel as though its not my place to say anything.

Finally there are many a boob-job that have gone wrong, and Kanye West's mother died on the operating table during plastic surgery. So, unless its necessary say to fix the damage of an accident, or so-on, fuck it

Large breast can be bothersome to a person later in life since they can cause strains and constant back problems. Contrary to popular belief, having big breast is not that great.

Ok breast augmentation after cancer is understandable. And sex changes are just weird, but then again I revel in my Y chromosome. I wouldn't understand any guy wanting to become a girl.

I was referring to Super Bad I think it was. When they saw a girl walking down a road who they knew with her back to them walking her dog. The one kid was just she's got huge tits. And the other more sensible (if that's even possible in this movie) one says 'I think she got a reduction' and the obnoxious one says "What? That's like slapping god across the face"

Oh yeah, I really didn't pay much attention. That movie was pretty lame in my opinion. Also I was in a drug offender's/DUI education course when I saw it... yes it's true. *looks down in disgust*

That's okay. I watched it with a guy friend and his little brothers friend. I ended up turning it off at the end before the sex scene because I felt uncomfortable letting a little kid watch that. It was bad enough I let him sip on the wine I was drinking (lol) and let him watch all that very very vulgar language.

I didn't like it either. I got annoyed that the whole movie was about getting to this party.
