I check on the POST library... i found nothing on the required distance for the mace cannon. I did get something vague from my father who is a CO at a prison.. 10 feet from the cell doors so it can spread into the cell. The can of the personal use stuff did have a recommendation for 3-5 feet from the attacker.
Only thing i found was a AZ study http://www.sabrered.com/servlet/the-template/ArizonaPoliceOleoresinCapsicumStaffStudy/Page
which they did a 10 feet study and affect.. seem plausible for a department to say 15ft is optimum.

It's nice to know the police aren't allowing people to do their jobs.

News sources online are all atwitter about the incidences of police brutality in the various Occupy rallies. Yet when I watch TV news, I hear nothing of this. Why is the mainstream media not reporting on this? Why are the police instituting media blackouts? Do you think the police are justified in using this much force against the protesters? Is this a problem, and if so, how do we fix this shit?

Hmm, clear evidence that congress is corrupt. Now, people can finally wake up to the facts that I've been touting for the past few years. Too bad it took this long.
