There will be protocol for this. Power will pass down via various ministers...and if that fails...it most likely pass onto the most senior military officer.

So then put up the vice president. Unless the whole gov't died in that crash then it's chaos. Or unless a powerful country comes in and conquers it?

I’m Pole and its terrible tragedy. I dont like him but his dead and dead of 95 other persons was a tragedy for all of our people. His wife, Maria, was a very kind person. Always smile and freindly.

If its true he is a great actor. When polish Prime Minister, mr. Tusk arrives to Smolensk, he cry like a baby. When Putin saw this, hug him. Beautiful and very human behavior.

Putin is an ex-KGB so I wouldn't be at all that surprised if he could act. Hell, even if he wasn't its not that hard to fucking act the way he did.
