The digital version of National Defense Authorization Act, targeting due process and right to privacy once again.
Another massive power grab by the government... Fuck, I know Ron Paul has a looney side, but honestly?
He's still seems the lesser of two evils. Two power grabbing - all hail the government(that is in corporate pockets), evils.
Btw not American, but concerned because if shit passes there it will come to Europe eventually.

Lamar is getting to be a bit of a joke now. I swear he's just spouting random shit and buzz words which he calls a "Bill" with little to no thought put into it, which actually gets put through for consideration because stupid people believe he's actually helping by proposing to "monitor the internet". Funny thing is, there's nothing wrong with it, it's fine the way it is.
I'd rather keep my browsing private and fap in my own time than be jailed for looking at DFC and Loli manga

You know the worst part? Anyone who speaks up on this one will most likely immediately be placed on the watch for a potential child molester.
Like McCarthyism in the 50's?

It's shenanigans like this that make me want to move to Sweden.
Seriously: the solution to X is not "monitor the internet." Sure, millions of things could be prevented and tons of criminal acts, namely child pornography and pirating, could be nigh-annihilated by a little monitoring and censorship, but doing so would infringe on the freedoms that make the internet so amazing.

The thing about this topic is that Children are bound to experience pornography someday.. if not from the internet then from their parents bedroom.
The government are using the element of sexuality as an excuse to push their nose in somebodies business.
Sex is not explicit, it's a part of nature and the governments themselves are using this natural element and manipulate into their own plans and now they created a situation where they can say privacy is getting dangerous.
Grow up people, we don't need no government, we just need to stay cool and help each other out then the world would be a better place.... :)

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized. This is the supreme law of the land; Those who break the law are criminals.
How should we deal with these criminals? well, let's apply the golden rule. They imprison citizens without evidence, trial, or due process of law. Therefore, we are obliged to do the same to them.

well shit. If the internet can suddenly be monitored to such an extent I am definitely going to jail. Don't know exactly what I did wrong, but I'm pretty sure they don't really need a reason.
Monitoring the internet to such an extent would allow them to build case files on anyone of interest, which could then lead to some minority report type shit where your internet activity indicates treason or some shit like that. The whole bill would be perfect for a totalitarian dictatorship...on second thought I need to GET THE FUCK OUT OF AMERICA ASAP.

SOPA and PIPA were limited to America only, but now ACTA is rising, which applies globaly:

Quote: "Kader Arif, European rapporteur for ACTA, subsequently resigned from his position on January 26, 2012 saying "I want to send a strong signal and alert the public opinion about this unacceptable situation. I will not take part in this masquerade."

Honestly, i think goverment messed up something, like theyre representing people not corporations.

You know what's the worst part? Anyone who disagrees with this bill will be labeled as one who wants to harm children and not protect them from pornographers.

Well we all know that the American government can be pretty bitchy when it comes to small details.
Lets say that people are seeing a porn film right now. Here is a list on this film.
1.Setting is in a school.
( Adults over 21 don't go to high school no more which clearly indicates that they are posing as "Teenagers/Minors" in this film.
2. The script/situation
( A romantic but sexual relationship between a student and a teacher which clearly indicates that there are gonna be some scenes not meant for the young public to see even though they pose themselves as minors/teenagers.
3. Fantasy and reality.
Even though porn industries are meant for the adult viewing, they are still somehow encouraging the idea it would be fun to sexually arouse themselves with the idea of having a sexual relationship with a teenager/minor.
So after writing this whole worthless thing out I came to the conclusion that the industries/corporations/minor majority/criminals are encouraging child pornography or even psychologically influencing a person with the thought of imagining the sexual arousal of having a sexual relationship with a child/teenager, because they are putting much effort into advertising child pornography by actually putting pics/videos of young girls posing as a sexually attractive model or even trying to become a new sex symbol by giving the idea that young girls are the new predator to prey on.

This is just a half rate excuse to turn "Big Brother" on the whole world. They are not "protecting" anyone, i'll just give a little scenario here.
Creepy middle aged guy who like's "little girls", to get his fix he looks at PICTURES and VIDEO'S on the internet of said "little girls". Now the government in all it's wisdom decides that looking at that kind of thing is "BAD". Creepy middle aged guy now has no way to get his fix, so he jumps in his car and finds some "little girls" and then rapes them.
Creepy middle aged guy has now mentally scarred the "little girls" and will now probably eat taxpayer dollars in a jail.
Now in this story, who wins? i guess if your smart the story says it all.
P.S I really don't want to hear the "OMG they are like totally supporting child porn" crap, because you know those video's that show underaged girls, well guess what? They get PAID to do it and survive because of it.
