Now, who wants to bet that neither cop will get more than a slap on the wrist for an activity that can send you to jail for years (alone, w/o the manslaughter charge)?

WOW!
Sad to say, but i Doubt they will face any serious charges for this.
They will just have everything covered up, say something like: "he forgot his lights was not on, or that his lights was not working at the time!"

I live around there...
I'm confident they'll get punished pretty harshly; Connecticut isn't like that (I hope it isn't).

Wow. That fucking sucks shit.
Seriously, problems with cops should be investigated by a third party. The justice system tends to favor cops because they the "good" guys. Full of shit if you ask me. Why should people who apparently are trying to stop street racing, be given a slap on the risk when they themselves get people killed BECAUSE they raced. In fact, they know the rules and as such, since they chose to break it, they should be given a harsher sentence.
Also, why the fuck does he still have a job?

Fuck, just shows how retarded cop are these days.
"LET'S TRY TO STOP STREET RACING, YET DO IT IN OUR FREE TIME!"
In fact, the actually street racing industry, however underground it is, is probably safer than cops if they're street racing. They don't know the rules, and end up breaking them and getting someone hurt. If he gets anything less than a few years in prison, I'll be pissed.

The way our justice system works, justice is served one-way. If you want to be able to break the law any time you want and not get into trouble, become a cop. BOTH of them should be jobless and in jail.

I'd like to sit here and hope they do get charged. I'm pretty fed up with the police in the Atlanta/Cob county area of Georgia. From where I've moved from the integrity is pretty disgusting.

You could get out of the house and form a protest over this issue.
(or tell some bored soccer moms, since some kids died)
Ensure results, rather than expecting.

I'll rage after I hear the result.
"...one gets desk duty..."
*sigh*
"pending the outcome of an internal investigation."

They give the few good cops a bad name...
Police stopped my car, Police stopped my car
The police made me stop, walk a straight line and blow a balloon up
Police stopped my car, Police stopped my car
The police made me stop, walk a straight line and blow a balloon up
They wanna wish me a sober Christmas
That's why they always pull me over Christmas
They say they're just making sure
That there's no open bottles in my car
They wanna wish me a sober Christmas
That's why they always pull me over Christmas
They say they're just making sure
That there's no open bottles in my car
Police road block, Police road block,
Police road block
I can smell their donuts as they smell my breath
Police road block, Police road block,
Police road block
I can smell their donuts as they smell my breath
They wanna wish me a sober Christmas
That's why they always pull me over Christmas
They're gonna let me out on bail this Christmas
From the bottom of their hearts
Police locked me up, Police locked me up,
The Police locked me up, 'cause when I blew, I blew a two point one

Maybe some day I'll become a cop, rob a bank, then chill on a desk job until my retirement.
What else could I possibly want?

Government uses Laws!

Atleast they are not like the KGB, pulling people out of their houses and shooting them in the head for the hell of it. Sure cops can be iresponceble ass holes, but atleast they arent bloodthirsty malicious assholes.

Stuff like this isn't new. Cops always seem to get away with everything from speeding to breaking laws and now murder. Of course that's just the tip of the iceburg since they do a lot of other stuff too. The U.S. is a wonderful place isn't it?

I remember this story making me a remember a story that happened in Belgium just a few days ago, where the police after receiving complaints about too much noise in the area, raided a birthday party full of 8-year olds. WITH TEAR-GAS. Their excuse? "Four of our officers were punched." By 8-year olds, remember.
At least no one died like in this scenario.

Tear gas for a noise complaint? Overkill!
anyway the latest stunt the cops pulled here in Belgium is this:
Prison gaurds put down their work because the situation is getting unbearable (not enough space, lacking security, and so on...)
During that time police take over the guard duty. Now it leaks out that the police has been abusing the inmates resulting in one's death.

The law is screwed up, there is no doubt about it. The police are treated as a higher class of citizens than the rest of us. I kill a man, I get life in prison if I'm not executed. A cop kills a man "he was resisting arrest".
Just another incident I can reference when I talk about how much i distrust/hate the government.
