Well shit, how is it that transporting oil is such a difficult business? More often than not something goes wrong, maybe it's time to invest in a better method of transportation...

I got my hopes up that other Oil Tanker sank but it wasn't what I hoped for. Oh well, from what it looks like, people weren't on duty when the pump failed, so the holding tanks ended up getting overflowed, I guess.

Come to think of it, for oil to be such an important resource to man, it is not very useful to all other living creatures. On the contrary, it harms the environment when unfortunate oil spill incidents occur.

When I read the thread title I thought 'what idiot was driving a tanker up a river' but after reading the article it was instead 'what idiot let an oil pump fail and not notice until after 65,000 gallons escaped.'
