The 3 Future Superpowers

In Moble Suit Gundam 00, the world is devided into 3 Unions.
(Leaders from left to right) The Americas, Asia-Russia, Europe

It is the same in George Orwell's book: 1984.
I ask you FAKKUers, Will this be Earth's future? Will we inevidably be devided this way?

I'm not sure South America and North America will ever be "one thing" or Russia and Asia for that matter. Europe though almost certainly will.

Either that or one global government. Personally I frown upon both outcomes, but could anyone really expect anything different what with the UAE, EU, NAU, and so on? The world is conglomerating to only include three nations:
America
Europe(Russia Optional)
Asia(Russia Optional)
America
Europe(Russia Optional)
Asia(Russia Optional)

Sure they'll always have the European Union, but that only keeps peaceful terms.
I could see the U.S. joining with Canada and Mexico, but never South America. All of the rebels and anti-americans in some of those countries would just be too big of a problem for us to deal with. Basically, its not worth it.
Russia/Asia will never happen either. China would never join with Japan because of issues dating back to WW2. Plus, Asia has a large amount of belligerent countries such as the Middle East (yeah, im grouping them all together.) and North Korea. Modern "western" countries like Japan would never want to join forces with them.
I do believe that a loose one world government could be a possibility. Never a true world power, just like a more unified U.N.

First of all well have a few superstates... like America, Eurasia, and Africa. Followed by a world government, however (hopefully) it will not happen within our lifetimes. I still want my already currently limited freedom

If it really just has to be 3, Americas, Asia-Russia, Europe.
I do hope it would just be one, for so many reasons, but I guess it may not be happening anytime soon... through peaceful means.

There's so many different possibilities. I for one, think that if Europe had the ABILITY to take over the world, they would. Also, if the entire world weren't hating our dickisheness? We would too. We'll probably, in the future, unite with Canada and Mexico. If only for the reason that we have half the mexicans in our country already, and Canada is basically looked at as a part of us anyhow. We'll probably take Central America too just to finish up the north american thing. South America will stand on its own. Russia and the rest of asia will probably unite, though Russia will be divided into Europe and Asia evenly. Europe will keep all it has now and unite it under one council that represents all the different country's ethnicities. Africa WILL NOT be re colonized by Europe, I know this, there's too much anti-european thoughts concerning this idea over there. So, 3 superpowers? No, 5? Probably. And form there we can all, as a planet, come up with our council to represent the 5 superpowers and our decisions concerning outer space.
...that's just one theory...

Hmmm, one-government policy? I think no, humans are beings with pride. Besides, it's just part of the ideal. Humans are just too proud to work with other than their own kin.
PS. No discrimination/prejudice here.

Currently, I say the most possible one are the ones from EndWar (USA, Russia, EU). (Tom Clancy has this really really good reputation of betting the future on the most possible and realistic outcome)

He and his neocon pals didn't get a single conflict right in the last 50 years. No we didn't have any flashy high-tech wars. Instead we had a dozen small and dirty ones that still killed a lot of people.

Well, Europe will always have the E.U but they will never Join together as one nation. There is too much oppisition in all the countries euro-skepticism is a large part UK politics. Russia and Asia will never join .Same with the Americas. However it wouldn't surprise me in the next 30 years if China found some excuse to expand west and America found another one to expand eastwards

I like how Africa and Oceania are non-existent. (or, were for the first five comments)
It could happen, but it wouldn't be the utopian picture people think. All great empires are built on blood. I could picture superstates being built with methods similar to Rome, Alexander the Great's Macedonia, and the United States. Lots of lying, broken promises, and slaughtered dissidents.

I thought that the HRL was mostly the east asian ones with some of the middle asian. I can't see any country or band of countries willing to take in the middle east and all it's issues. A modern Day HRL would comprise of most of the east asian nations, however i think that vietnam and india still have issues with china, such as over burma i think. It would take a while for relations to get better with india.
japan was part of the Union i think, so chinese taipei and south korea are likely to be more united with the union in a modern perspective due to trade with the us.

I wouldn't want Mexico combining with the United States. Sure, Mexicans would love it. No more jumping over the border. But that country is a shit hole with their government. There's too much that would require being fixed. Basically a girlfriend with a shit ton of baggage, just not a good match. We have enough of our own problems.

Super-blocs make for good stories but they don't seem to actually happen in reality. We've seen a lot of alliances fall apart over the last few decades, but few actually grow.
If I had to guess, this century will see China continue increase its international profile while the US' former allies drift away and become economically stagnant.
