The Santa Problem
0
The whole Santa thing does sound right from the beginning when you think about. When someone breaks into your house any time of the year, it's not OK; but it is OK, on the 24th of Dec., and the break-inner must be Santa. Think about it; It's that night, the theft wearing the Santa-look. you're asleep but your kid encounter this situation. The next morning, your gift are all gone and your kid saw it happen. Your kid fall for the old-Grinch act. This whole damn Santa does not need to be promoted.

Who says Santa isn't real :P. Do your research, he exists as a Macroscopic Quantum Particle (hence why he can be in several places at once, why you can't observe him and why he must be kept at a cold temperature, when you consider that he is made up of several particles to act like a quantum particle would require a temperature of absolute zero).
If you do physics, you'll understand what I said above. In any case, of course I will tell my kids Santa is real (if/when I have them). How else will I convince them to be good before Christmas xD?

Really if i have kids, i wouldn't tell them the Santa lie, we're getting to a day when less and less kids even believe in the fat bastard to begin with, so i'd say by the time i decide to have kids parents would probably stop telling their children that Santa is real and just be like, "If you behave yourself than you will get some extra presents from mommy and daddy on Christmas day," rather than saying that a fat guy breaks into the house and brings presents crafted by magical elves.

All you have to do is explain the fairy rule from Peter Pan: he's real if you beleive in him.

Its simple
Dont tell them about santa claus and tell them the truth from the start
What's the point of Santa Claus anyways? Its all BS, and a kid finds out by the time they're 5 nowadays

I would tell them this story :
:D
But in all seriousness, I would teach my future children about Santa and when they get to a certain age, I would tell them the truth.
Not a lot of young children believe in Santa anymore, and in my opinion, that's disheartening. To me, believing in Santa Claus is a tradition that we should keep on passing down to our generations because the jolly fat-man is an iconic symbol of Christmas spirit.

I never believed in Santa Claus. Not because of all the TV shows, Christmas Speacials and movies that hinted that he didn't exist. Instead it was because my dad told me he was Santa's younger brother. I did however believe somewhere in the universe there are things beyond reason. That one day I could dig up a dinosaur in my back yard. That one day Ash and Misty would hit it off. That Tommy and Kimberly would make out on Power Rangers. That there would be a 4th Back to the Future.
The only things that bursted my bubble was that.
1. I lived in Hawaii in a town house = No Dinosaur
2. Ash was a retard and got Amnesia every season after the Johto Region
3. Tommy was more into his Pecks then the opposite sex
4. I'm still waiting for it
In the end I think its better to have fun then to crush someones dreams, no matter what age. Unless of course they are going overboard and start killing people because a space alien gave him a magic wand in the anus and he must spray his white healing liquid into the eye socket of each of his victims in order to revive Micheal Jackson from his slumber.

Santa Claus isn't real!? lol.
I'm going to let my kids believe whatever they want. You gotta admit, there's something magical in this whole giving spirit and being a kid at heart.

I won't tell my kids Santa isn't real. Because he isn't. He represents the spirit of Christmas and all that. But in all seriousness, kids are supposed to find out by themselves if he's real or not. Whether it be catching me putting presents under the tree marked "From: Santa", or some other method, it's far more natural for them to find out without me telling them. Let them believe for as long as they can, I say.

Well, I never plan to even meet a girl to have kids with but if I ever do...
I'll tell them he is real. It's nice they have something more to look forward to that one time of the year.

I would let them believe it I guess..
I hate holidays and such but there's nothing wrong with a little side story to spoiling ur kids with stuff that makes them happy.
It's not like I wouldn't beat the crap out of santa present-wise on their birthday anyway.

Santa Claus is the cartoonish type representation of St. Nicholas. So in a way, he was real. Most likely, the fable of St. Nicholas became better known with Christmas over time and a near current representation of him came to be.
Of course, he is used more by marketing people and businesses than anyone else really.
Am I going to tell my kids he's real? Dunno yet. We'll see about that later.

Well....I think it just reeeeeeeally sucks when you find out you've been lied too. But it is about christmas spirit and all~ and believe me my parents and aunts and uncles got me believing in whatever~ then just leavin ya cold and dry to find out it isnt real~>.< But yeah anyway~ I think in the sense of christmas whether it is making your kids believe in santa or not is entirely up to you~ I, for one, would still do that but then tell them later or purposely come out in a santa suite and take off my fake beard or something~xD JUST CAUSE IM A DICK. XDDD kidding or not~>:P They'll get over it~

As for me, Santa story will be a good way to teach my children to behave as a good kid, because otherwise they'll be abducted by the Black Piet rather than getting presents from Santa Claus. I know it's lying, but as long it doesn't do any harm and rather brings a virtue, I don't see why not.

Nothing wrong in believing, only when your dreams come to a stop. Without sorrow, you cannot say you have ever truly experienced happiness as well, no? It's just another equality that maintains the balance of the world.
In the end it's still better to have something to believe in then nothing at all. I will go with the Santa route with my kids.

knowing that santa isn't real is one of them points in childhood where you're faced with reality. Like when you realize your parents are flawed and aren't perfect.
I will probably tell my kids that santa is real, the thought of it is amazing and i don't know a single kid who doesn't feel amazed when it comes down to santa. I personally didn't take it too hard, but i have years of planning the best way to reveal the secret to my kids.
