Tiger manipulation and killings

Spoiler:
this link will lead you to current and in there it will show you how cruel and evil a country without a watcher to look over it will do to its own wildlife and not even care. These majestic and awesome kick-ass tigers shouldn't live out their lives like this.
edit: the second spoiler is a pic and it might lag so you dont need to open it to get this thread.

That's disgusting. That picture you showed in the thread doesn't do justice to how the tigers look in the article.
There's not even an appropriate punishment existing for China to receive for doing something like that. :x

Instead, it seems, they die slowly of neglect. In row after row of foul, cramped cages, more tigers lie alone, crippled and dying. One is hunched up against the side of its cage with its neck grotesquely deformed. Another, blinded in one eye, lies motionless.
The reason is the tigers, mostly Siberian, are far more valuable dead than alive.
For a 55lb pile of bones from a single tiger can be worth up to £225,000. There is a hugely lucrative trade in the skeletons at the Guilin park.

That pic made the page laggy, could you spoiler it? Thank you :)
That was awful, there should be a price to pay for cruelty like that.
And FOR ONCE, I AGREE WITH YOU ZIGGY!!! I'll give you my + rep as soon as I can for posting the link to the embassy! Good job in stepping up and showing the people who read this that they CAN make a difference :)

Fuck, that is actually pretty disturbing. Actually, it would be more humane for them to breed the tigers well, make them well-fed and beautiful and then kill them quickly rather than doing things like this. Ofc, it would be better if people stopped being arrogant and superstitious and let the animals alone.
But unfortunately, things like this happens everywhere, not only to tigers.

What can I say, some people still have their minds set to medieval times and havent progressed yet. Maybe someone needs to spread a rumor that the testicles of these people can serve as an aphrodisiac
Ethil, yeah africa for one, and all for nonsense.

I don't even know what to say about this. It makes me sad. And sadly what Ethil said is true, I saw this in person in Vietnam where elephants were treated pretty much the same way. It's forbidden by law to kill them but to chain then to a concrete floor and put them in cages so small that they can't even turn around and more or less wait until they die to gather the ivory is legal.
This is the kinda shit makes me lose faith in humanity.

Nobody cares about Animals, they are just tools to the masses to earn money now. Things like this really piss me off.
This is why i believe in karma, hopefully those people who do such idiotic and cruel things to animals will die some horrible death. Id love to free one of those and let them tear people like that to shreds.

I was kind of thinking that too. If they enjoy this bone wine - you would think it'd taste even better if they were strong healthy tiger bones. Bones needs nutrients too and if they're just starving them and keeping them locked up, their bones are brittle and unhealthy.
So you would think they'd have them live long natural lives and then at old age...

Ethil, yeah africa for one, and all for nonsense.Uh, yea. though I think africa suffers more from poaching than breeding in inhumane captivity, not sure though.
There are countries much closer to ourselves that do these things, America for once, Canada, UK, and Sweden where I am from all have Mink farms, where they breed Mink in small cages under terrible conditions and the kill them for their pelts, and this happens in many rich and "civilized" countries in Europe and America. Ofc there are laws against this, but the government can't watch 'em all, and just as the Chinese do with these tigers, there are flaws in the laws that can be exploited.
I'm not an expert, but I'm pretty sure there are many other species of animals that are bred and suffers the same way.

I hate the zoo. it's like concentration camps for animals. if they only had animals that couldn't survive in the wild due to injury or something, it might not be so bad.

Unfortunately there are. I've never been an animal rights activist or anything, but I think what upsets me about this is China is looking at forcing tigers to be extinct in their own country over some superstitions. "Rooh? Big ribido? ronger rife? kirr iger!"

Big ribido? ronger rife? kirr iger!"Yea, well, me neither. I'm just saying that there is a difference of being forced to hear about these things happening by some crazy dude on the street, and reading an detailed article with pics etc by your own choice; you get more interested and disturbed when finding these things out by yourself.
I think the reason for these things are less important; China do it for superstition, the West do it cuz' they're conceited, out of vain. Hard to find one reason any better than the other.
"Rooh? Big ribido? ronger rife? kirr iger!"
vs
"Oh, what a beautiful pelt, lets buy that. What, it's not made out of real animals? Then lets not, I prefer wearing the skin out of tortured animals instead of a substitute, even if I can't actually tell the difference."

Well, it was said that it can be stopped if the market for these would disappear. Coz as long as it sells, someone somewhere will do what they can to provide them even at the risk of being shot to death.
Sometimes I wonder, if it can be legalized then standards can be set... then there wont be such, just like pigs and chickens and cows, afterall - at the root of it all how different is a cow from a tiger, theyd both suffer and lose their lives.
I do not know if there are global policies concerning animals, I guess even if there was, what can we do - we cant even stop a country from developing...

The difference between a cow and a tiger is one is an endangered species and the other is not. The other difference is you can pick up a pound of meat for a couple dollars, while the other one is an expensive delicacy for rich superstitious fucks.
