Virtual life?
Would you plug in to virtual reality?

Around 3 to 4 years ago a new technology has been researched and if you goggle it it hasn't moved on much since then. The name is contact lenses with inbuilt screens. Now along with other pieces of technology such as gps, motion sensors, cameras etc. This could lead to eventually overlaying the virtual reality over what actually exists - yeah I know IRL WoW, I already though of it - so my question is, would you plug in?

This is called augmented reality. It has potential benefits. I will let this video explain potentially why.

If we can manage to get this type of technology, the world will look a lot different in 100 years. Might I also mention this, which isn't exactly Augmented reality, but it is still communicating reality with the digital world:

I would, but not all the time. It's all for the sake of convenience that we make anything such as this. Have you ever stoped to think: Why do we have this stuff?" I mean, really, some of the stuff we have now at days don't even seem necasary, but we use it for the convenience.

OK I would, life is hard and sucks. I'm a minimalist I take the easy way and try to do the least amount of work to get what I want. virtual reality I woulds say is the easiest I don't even want this body I just want my mind and all the experiences/sensations.
Plus it would be nice to satisfy my complexes/fetishes.
I could change my mind in the future as my personality change though.

I voted yes. Virtual reality has less boundaries than the real world and can be improved more easily. In my opinion, virtual/augmented reality is going to be huge in the future. It will probably advance humankind as much as internet did...maybe more. Who knows when that will happen, though.

Sounds like another toy for rich people. Nevertheless, curiosity is still gonna force me to buy it.

I'd be worried about my eyesight and health. I'm pretty sure that we can't even make TV-goggles without having extreme strain on the eye. plus TV-goggles are too expensive to commercially sell, and they're alot less complicated than what these look like. I would be very surprised if these started getting commercially sold while I'm alive. even if they did, I probably wouldn't buy it
