what happens after we die?

Who knows....maybe were already dead and were reliving our life over and over againI'll go with this notion just because I'll be able to call myself a zombie.

For me, I think once you die is like going to sleep but waking up in another body. For myself, I kind of see it as a form of reincarnation a little bit, but like this. While I maybe a agnostic to even a borderline atheist. My upbring in Christianity.
I remember they say that everyone has like a "spark" in your life, like a life force if you will. From what I remember, God gives you a soul when you are born and a spark of life. I think that once you die, your body returns to the earth and that so call "soul" goes to another body.
However, while I this may sound really strange, I don't really think of it as a soul, since a soul is suppose to have the memories and personality of the person, thus the reason for reincarnation. I think the soul is more of a form of a "life force" to a person. I can't deny that right now I am looking though my eyes and feel everything around me with my body, I think this so called soul inside me will move over to another place once I finish with it. Any living thing. Yeah, it sounds weird but to me it makes the most sense. In short, I guess it's a form of reincarnation but without a true soul.

I've been thinking. What if time was in a loop and we are constantly reliving our lives? I guess that would explain deja vu.

There's nothing after is sad hell yeah is sad that there's nothing after but it's the truth, so it's better to come in terms with the idea otherwise were cheating ourselves (although lying to ourselves is not that bad sometimes).

When we die, one of 2 things happens...
1. We're stuffed into a cushioned box, displayed around for a day or two, then put underground with the worms.
2. We're thrown into a furnace and either get put into a shiny box or sprinkled on the ground somewhere.
So I guess the answer to your question is that you've got a 3:4 chance of ending up on or in the ground. And a 1:4 chance of ending up in a sparkly box on the mantle...

Quite frankly to tell you the truth I have no clue. And neither does anybody else no matter what they tell you. We could all go to heaven or hell, sit there and rot in box, etc, etc. The truth is we won't know till we get there. So the best thing we can do is just live our lives the best we can, treat others the way we want to be treated, and do our best in everything we do. And when the day comes when we die, well we'll see what happens.

Spoiler:
Well basically, nobody knows that answer except Zombies and people that had near death experience. They say you see a white light. Others say you go to heaven or some other place. While some say even say that your soul is reincarnated.
This is what I believe:
A true man never dies, even when he's killed. - Kamina

I'd love to believe that there is an after life. But as for my physical and logical mind, the only thing that awaits us is nothingness. you wont even know/see a black space. I think it will just be an endless and dreamless and oh fuckin' boring sleep without awakening.
oh oh, but if what you think is what you get. Then I want to think that after life, there is heaven and no hell =D

I think that when you die that's it. There is no heaven or hell or no reincarnation, you are just gone.

I guess that would explain deja vu.There are many explanations for Deja Vu, but the most believeable theory about it is that the mind is always constantly playing tricks on you or that you have somehow found somethings to relate to and your mind just had a "brain fart" telling you 'this is familiar'.
As for the matter on this topic, no one has a clue. All I can believe in is:
A. There is a reincarnation. Many more theories can pile on how it works.
B. Maybe all the religions are connected and governed by one religion(read Saint Young Men/Skyhigh Karma for details). Maybe you get a choice between heaven, hell or reincarnation with no memories.
C. There is nothingness, no consciousness; just eternal sleep without thought nor feeling.
D. Whatever you believe in, in your reality, may affect only you. This is where multi-universe theory comes in.

I really just hope that when you die, you just die. The thought of any afterlife, eternal life in heaven or reincarnation or any of that scares the living hell out of me.

"My friend's dad passed away from a stroke this afternoon, after being in a coma for a day. He was only 42.

It's like to sleep, but a long sleep one day you wake up with no memory if souls don't exists why we die??? everything has a reason! if god doens't exists death will not exist too.

Personally I think of it this way, If we die we either A.) Go to Heaven (or Hell) or B.) we get reincarnated. also I have this really trippy theory. One can never not exist, may it be in thought or in postmortem. Also nothing can not exist for theirs always blackness and blackness is the void of existence yet it still exists even if nobody is there to consciously admit its existence.

I know how you feel. Just last week my aunt's best friend was diagnosed to have brain cancer. The doctors have given her six months at most. I have met her often enough to remember her face. Nice enough, 38 years old lady, has been living with her boyfriend for 6 years now. Never smokes, doen't drink often and lives a healthy life. When I heard about her, it just shocked me. This is how easily someone's everyhing can end, I thought. I just couldn't sleep that night, just kept staring at mirror and thinking how suddenly the death might come, for me and for anyone. Reardless of what we wish or think about it. In the end, I can only keep on living and hope for the best.

The only way we'll ever know is if we die, and when we do we ain't gonna be telling anybody. So there's no way the mortal world will know. I prefer it this way anyways; it keeps death a little interesting.

I belive in a higher power whether its one or more gods but i dont anything about what i belive in i just belives in a higher power. As for the death part... i dont really know. I think you are given a choice of reincation or to be jugeded in what plane of the afterlife you belong to.

I used to believe in nothingness after we die, like a void of sorts, but nothing for an eternity just seems like.. a whole lot of nothing. I like the idea of reincarnation, where after we die, our spirit or soul or whatever just floats out of our body, flies into the clouds, and there's a giant wheel that tells us what we'll be in our next life. I guess what I'm trying to say is, we won't know for sure until we actually die. But hell, nothingness would suck.
