Which is better, believing in a god or not?

I was born a Roman Catholic and to be honest as I got older I began to question the very rules and guidelines that they impose and more and more I'm beginning to doubt Christianity and Catholicism as a whole and God himself. As a religious person, i can tell you that this isn't exactly the place to find your answer. Not trying to insult anyone here; there are some surprisingly intelligent conversations here for a Hentai site. I believe you should have that conversation with a person in your religious community who will not be inappropriately forceful in their approach to bring your religious identity back; or at least a religious website that has extensive information on religion in general and can help you in your predicament. It's just that here,in my opinion, the population is predominantly Atheist, and i don't believe that you will find fairly balanced opinions on religion.

I'm deist, which is basically agnosticism with a twist. Rather than saying you don't know and don't care if there's a God, it's saying that you're open to all religions, all deities, everything. It's all possible, and that you're not one to decide who is right.

Basically, theological Switzerland.

I'm happy with this, as I don't have any real beliefs to push on anyone and I don't have to deal with others trying to force their beliefs on me. Though I do enjoy researching theology and debating it with others.

I don't really believe in a god per-say. Everybody I know believes in some sort of higher power. I don't because theres nothing but anceint items depicting what god is. for all I know some person could have though all this up.

like it or not I just don't see how wasting my time every sunday morning listing to some guy preach does me any good.

It's just a matter of faith, if you believe in God or not. There is no inferior religion, and everything is pointed out to one. Which is the Creator. well, for me , i do believe that it's better to set a good example for the other generation, and spread the teachings of religion.

but hey, it does not really matter if we believe or we don't. what matters is that we help and do good deeds to each other. right?

i'm atheist.. my parents are christians, but i dont believe in God or Allah or whatever you want. Marx once said "Religion is the opium of the people". I think he was right, for multiple reasons. However, in the end, the choice to believe in something or not is up to you!

I myself an am atheist. For me there was never a god in my eyes. but as other have probably stated if you claim atheism as your own then you must accept the consequences. I myself am open about it and have gotten a lot of shit about it but that's mainly cause I live in the South. It shouldn't be whether or not you choose to believe in him but more of what do feel he is there. For me it's a no but I can't speak for others.

You can't really ask people which is better. What you will get is opinions. No answer here will be based on fact. I myself tried to be a Christian but I found myself questioning too many of their teachings. I stopped being a Christian but I did not stop believing in God. This maybe what you need to do. Or you could be an Atheist. I don't agree with Christians but I don't agree with Atheists either. So you see this is all my opinion. You just have to do what is best for you.

I do believe in God as that it is merely an entity that only observes and never intervenes with any world. I do think religion is somewhat important in terms of understanding and respecting others' beliefs.

I'm a baptist. Really believing in god is completely up to you. It's all about how life has played out for you. I believe in god but I do think there are some...problems. Like of he is so all powerful why is the woelf like this. Where is the divine intervention? And no I do not believe in the 2012 rumors. Back to my point, some people just need something to believe in, like me. I don't think I could keep living if I didn't.

I WILL believe in GOD if he can bring back those who die because of the twister i certainly will, AND I MEAN I WILL that's assuming HE can bring back those who die especially those baby. Fuck! those who believe in God for God have taken what precious to to world, He even take the soul of those baby the soul that have never been tainted by the evil and we called the action of these so called God a good omen? fuck! and i mean fuck! He have bite more than he can chew this time if he cannot bring those people who die because of the storm, HE will be forgotten

I was born into a Catholic family, but like you, I questioned if God was actually real or not. I'm now an atheist, much to my family's dislike, but seriously. I don't like wasting time on someone who I believe doesn't exist. The Bible is (in my opinion) loads of bullshit to tell us how to live our lives. Also, I would laugh that when we die, there is no God.

Anyways, it doesn't really matter on which is better or not. The things you choose to believe are your choice, and that's fine.

I myself am Agnostic, but, as others have said, it is ones own belief. It doesn't make a difference whether one believes in a single deity or not.
