Will Japan's censorship laws ever be overturned?

THIS. Don't we get enough stress from our daily lives that we gotta worry about some fucking pricks opinions of our pornography and because of said pricks, our favorite pornography becoming illegal? REALLY? Illegal cartoon porn...WOW.

If you hate pornography and Hentai, just don't look at it.

You dont have to ruin it for everyone by trying to get it banned.

Yeah, it's just drawing for god's sake. It's not like you'll become a muderer or a rapist if you play them a lot.

Problem is they will try everything in order to claim the contrary.

Banning hentia in its different forms is nothing new, but it wont happen because of the amount of money it brings in, just drawing and japanese animation tricks the have huge returns of profit. Plus it is pretty culturally acceptable. But as for undoing censorship laws... well go luck finding a politician who will introduce that bill.

Plus, I've observed that Japanese censorship is fairly fluid in terms of it's application. It ranges from full pixel-out to tiny black/white strips that do absolutely nothing. I believe that it has gotten to the point it's like American obscenity laws, it depends on how conservative/liberal the area is.

As long as japans feminist don't take down fakku.net i think ill be able to live with censorship laws and hentai going underground for a while. But overall i think that japan should leave the censor law the way it is i mean its really not all that bad and im sure hentai artist do find loop holes of some sort to show uncensored hentai.

At this given time, I'm going to say no. In fact, I think it's only going to get worse from now on ever since the banning in hentai theme games. Their government is now trying to spread into the real porn industry over there and censor even more of that. If anything, we may be witnessing the beginning steps of mass censorship in that country even more so then before.
