Your Personal Thought Process on Furries\Anthros

First and foremost this is NOT a discussion on whether it is right, wrong, sexuality preferences, whatever; this is not the thread nor the time nor the place this is simply a thought experiment. Ok, as a firm believer of the philosophy of "People should be able to think whatever they damn well please" I am not the slightest bit bothered by furries, lolicons, shotacons, guro fans, tranny-lovers dont care. What ya like is what ya like so long as it doesn't affect others in a negative way.

Now as you might have guessed from my avatar i am, at the very least, interested in anthros. I enjoy some of the depictions and the thought behind it. My own mind in this is:

So furry interest? To an extent. Full on beastiality? Nope because that is not how i think of it. The "beastial nature coming to the surface" part is interesting, yes, but not the cross completely different species part.

So my question is this:

To Furries\Those interested: 1.) What is your thought proses behind it, 2.) what turns you on about it, 3.) and are you embarrassed about it?

To Non furries\furry haters\everyone else: 1.) What is your thought proses behind it, 2.) why do you dislike it, 3.) are you ok with it, if not why?

To answer my own questions:

2). Again the whole thought of burying my face in soft, warm, silky feeling with the added bonus of the pleasure and the calming nature of the after-release if just ..... soothing to me. And hey, hot women are hot women regardless (inner man talking). For me its not so much the sexual part of it.

3.) Not at all. Again i follow the philosophy of "People should be able to think whatever they damn well please". Sure i wont go running down the streets yelling it out for everyone to hear, but if ya ask i defiantly wont hide it (hell my anthro porn is mixed in with all the rest of my porn). Besides the supposed "perversion" of it is FAR less damaging (not at all IMO) than sexual repression and the bucket of worms that comes with that. In fact the only damage that does come from it if what others do to you for it.

Again this is just my personal point of view, I'm not saying its the right way of thinking or everyone should be ok with it, different strokes for different blokes.

First off, I'd like to inform you that you spelled 'Process" wrong. Doesn't lead one to take the thread very seriously when such mistakes are present in the title.

Anyways, I'm not blatantly against furries/anthros- but I'm not into them either. When the artwork is of high quality, or I happen across a particularly novel and original design- I can admire them in a purely aesthetic sense.

But as far as it being pornographic material- 'fraid that's one area that I won't venture into. Not by repulsion- but it simply doesn't appeal to me.

Girls with animalistic features (cat ears/tail, for example) are perfectly fine- but I like skin. Fur would just be bizarre. The girl must remain primarily human in features.

However- upon the opposite side of things- I'm actually fine with bestiality in a one-sided sense; girls getting fucked by animals.

Just the idea that a girl is just so damned horny that she'll get it on with anything with a dick, I guess. Never put much thought into the matter. Then again- when people are in that particularly amorous state of mind- I don't believe that they're very rational.

Animal instinct and all that.

I see where you are coming from with the human thing though. For the most part the only furry porn I particularly enjoy is pretty much confined to more human based than animal, as with my avatar. But again Different Strokes for Different Blokes, totally cool.

As far as bestiality goes it is much like you with the furry porn, not my thing but not repulsed by it.

Anyway people who dress up in furry suits are most assuredly the minority. Not only that but they kinda paint the entire furry group in a bad light. Nothing overly bad about it though, people will do things with one another whichever way posible and quite frankly thats human nature. But not all furries are like that.

Its the same thing with the X-box live assholes. Not everyone on XBLA are total pricks but those that are are the very vocal minority and the ones you keep hearing about. Hell if the term Gamer (as loose a term as is) is anything like people say the title is then my grandpa is a gamer. So yea, very broad stereotype with very little basis in reality.

I understand very well that much like everything else in life, you have to sift through the shit to get what you're looking for. It's just, how do furry suits exist?! Those things are the only things that make me feel bad about porn T ^ T They tell me it's supposed to bring out their inner animal. You can have an inner animal, but it sure as hell wouldn't look like those big-eyed freaks of nature!

I'm a furry. Or, perhaps anthro would be more appropriate, as one of my fav artists does awesome scalie and furrles-mammal types.

-I like anthro because they're more exotic than normal human. Sort of like the Navi from Avatar, sort of the same attraction reasons (I'm not saying I find them attractive though). Almost always anthros have simply spectacular coloring (like my avi).
-Anthros are also often the peak of physical perfection in a humanoid shape. Graceful (when not too top-heavy :) ) and strong, they're simply beautiful.
-And then there's also the perceived libido. These are, essentially humanoid animals. There's the fantasy of greater sex drive. Males with bigger equipment, shorter refractory times, and greater ejaculations. Then there's the women, always exemplary of femininity and often in heat.
-Overall it's a mix of factors I guess. Sure I like normal hentai, and evena good bit of RL porn. But...anthro is just so much fun!

Not that I hate furries, after all I'm okay with up to 10%. I just think that for fanatics, it goes a little far and into bestiality. Which, I have to draw the line at. Also it kinda falls into the same category on how I feel about homosexuality. Is long as it isn't flaunted, or at least not to a large extent, the I couldn't care one way or another.
One of my friends is a furry. Do I make fun of him occasionally for it? Oh hell yes. Does he taunt me for my infatuation with lolis? Like you wouldn't believe. Do we mean anything by it? No. Why? Because neither of us care.

So, long story short. I personally don't give a fuck one way or another. Just as long as it doesn't involve me or interrupt anything that I might be doing... Huh, I guess that's about how I feel for pretty much anything that doesn't involve me.

The exotic part is defiantly something i forgot in what attracts me to good furry pics. I was actually talking to one of my friends who does a lot of furry artwork herself (did it for a living i think at one point) and she shares much the same views. Hmmmmmmm it seems the most likely suspect is people getting caught up on the non-human aspects, though i really don't see the source of the hate.

Also yes, it is fun, very much so. Ive seen some of the best and sexiest artwork ever be anthro's and was in part responsible for my favorite position in hentai (belly down, legs spread).



Good on you. Being a born and raised sarcastic ass (with a light heart and an open mind) i can defiantly see where you are coming from. I also somewhat agree on the flaunting thing, I would certainly love to have people more open about their sexuality (well the U.S. in my experience, don't much know 'bout other countries).

I personally am indifferent to furry/anthro stuff unless it's visually outstanding. That aside, I usually don't care about the preferences of others. As long as I don't see them showing it off all over the place where it isn't appropriate I don't mind.

As to the hentai or other depictions, it's just more porn to me.

To make matters simple, here are my reasons:
1)I just don't feel like the idea having sex with excessively non-human features. But as long as it don't contain sex in it, furry is okay for me. FYI, I'm okay with animal ears or tails (like the one in utawarerumono). But the most important thing is, the face must be human. That's my first criteria. Other than that, there are various consideration that I cannot say here as it will make this post too long.
2) Pretty much explained above.
3) Just like I say, I'm okay with it as long as no sex scene included.

Cosplay it all you want, but calling it a lifestyle is calling "dressing up in costume 24/7 and pretending to be a different species" something more than it really is: childish indulgence.

1.) I guess the basis around my thought process is that we're all essentially animals anyways, particularly when it comes to sex. To me, anthros/furries is basically the physical representation of that urge.
2.) What turns me on is the allure behind it. Other then the fact that it is considered taboo by a pretty large majority, it's just the thought of getting it on with someone who isn't (technically) human is quite a turn on.
3.) Definitely not embarrassed by it, I'm not into bestiality but anthromorphs are free game =p

On that note, you wouldn't see me dressed up as one. If science ever gets to the point were it would allow different physical traits to appear (and work), then I might consider changing my physical form.

I have a friend who is a Furry, I don't hate him and we like to joke sometimes about Furry related stuff. I don't see any problem with Furies, they aren't really hurting anyone. the only people who are hurting are the haters who just hate them for liking something else

-It's a fetish as far as I'm concerned. Not my thing, but then again, a lot of things aren't my thing. Although, I suppose I can see the rationale behind it.



-I don't find the concept appealing. Not to say that there's anything wrong with it.



-I'm cool, just stop being furry in public. Most fetishes are not taken outside of the bedroom, or in any case, publicly.
