Anyone know how long the first game will be up for download for those that purchase a new copy?

Anyways, whole game is just awesome. Combat is pretty good considering how the first one was like. The whole aesthetics of the game is perfect and what really sells this game for me, it's something you don't see too often in games these days. The color and design constantly changes as you go on offering much variety. As I said earlier, the combat is also pretty good. I expected this game to get 7-8 but it got even lower which I truly didn't get why any of those gaming sites rated it so low. The invisible wall is not that big of an issue and the combat doesn't stay too stale compared to most games.

the atmosphere is what sells this game for me, it really looks like they just picked up where the last game left off.
For instance:
They just struck out as neat little throwbacks. The atmosphere is sucking me in just as hard as the first game was. Going to savor this experience as best as possible.

I very much like the level and enemy designs. Also the ending was a surprise. I did not expect that character to have a part in her past.

So basically I didn't see a thread...anywhere...talking about the ending to the sequel to McGee's classic that spawned thousands of Hot Topic T's and accessories (as well as hundreds of thousands of idiots who think Alice in Wonderland was always a dark story meant for adults).
This is about the ending, so spoilers are and should be allowed. Anybody not looking for spoilers who clicks on here (and isn't a mod or something) is probably in need of seeing someone for their compulsion.

I've never really had much interest in this series, but this seems hella interesting. Do I smell a rental?
I guess.
I guess.

There's no need for a discussion thread when there's already a topic on the game, the whole point of me keeping a master list.

It's pretty good. The atmosphere and graphics are very nice. Gameplay may not be to your tastes. Most of it is jumping from platform to platform and exploring. The fights are extremely easy, I had no trouble with anything.

I love it so far, I also can't believe the low rating this game got. The reason the combat is like this is so the player can focus more on the story that unfolds over time.
There's a iOS storybook that is available for free and with it you can get $10 off the retail game. I kinda find it odd that they didn't advertise that as much... [this covers the events from a bit before the first game all the way up to right when the second game starts]
The artwork for the game is amazing, I think I spent a good while just looking around at my surroundings. I'm greatly considering buying the art book and a print. A free console version of the first game is the icing on the cake and it really helps out those who haven't played the first game a opportunity to have a complete collection.
So yea buy it if you want something different in your game library because if you just rent it, I can guarantee you'll want to own the game.

Shit! I forgot about the Master List. Though it was only for videos.
Sorry, Yushi. Didn't mean to give you more work. I'll-
Oh, you switched it over. ...Wow. I'm in the original thread and didn't even know it. O_O
Thanks and sorry again, Yushi

A bit late to the party, but I just got this game a few weeks ago after playing American McGee's Alice over the summer, and I must say that it's pretty damn fun. The only thing I have against it is that there haven't been any boss battles so far, and I'm 3 chapters in.

The artbook showed some really cool levels and boss designs that never got in game due to time constraints.

Thinking about getting this after long procratination, do you recomend playing the first one to get into the story?

Of course, it was made a decade ago, so it can be forgiven. I say go play the first one, but it's not so much for the sake of story as it is because it's just a good game.
