Final fantasy XIII-2 announced for PS3/X360

I also doubt that it will be released in 2011. You know Square-Enix (How long did we wait for XIII? Like 6 Years?), and plus Versus XIII doesn't even have a release date. As to it's quality, I don't know. If Square-Enix is smart they'll just further refine combat and create a better story, more sidequests, less linear etc. That, or they will make it a game solely based on Lightning, Vanille and Fang and fill it with "sugar and rainbows" and Austin Power fonts (X-2).

I lost hope for XII-2.XIII was alright.I did not like it much because final fantasy ALWAY'S has good story telling but 13 failed in my opinion. The only thing i liked is the hot women lighting and oerbaa yun fang.

Some screens, and we'll have a playable demo at E3. Hopefully, it's released on PSN or Xbox Live... I really want to try it. >_>
We also get introduced to Noel, the male equivalent of Fang (by the looks of things), and Serah will be a playable character.
Some other things we now know:
+ XIII-2†²s story begins in Gran Pulse after the ending of XIII.
+ The story will feel like it expands out from the after story that was included in the booklet with Xbox 360†²s Final Fantasy XIII International.
+ Outside of Lightning, other characters will appear in the game in unexpected forms. Some will see major changes.
+ XIII-2 is a full sequel. You’ll learn some of the things that took place in the background scenes of XIII.
+ The story will be more dark and mysterious than XIII’s.
+ The story will focus on the goddess Etro.
+ The game will not have the pop feel of Final Fantasy X-2 (I think this means no dancing Lightning booooo)
+ The battle system will be an evolved form of XIII’s ATB system.
+ They’re listening to opinions both inside and outside of Square Enix and from outside of Japan regarding characters, story and interface.
+ There may be a difficulty setting.
+ Regarding Final Fantasy XIII-2, Nomura reveals that the key world in the game will be different from the world of Final Fantasy XIII. However, FFXIII’s world will also appear in the game.
