Worst part about an FPS is the difference in perception. Too often have I experienced and heard of the very top of a character model's head being exposed, but the model still shooting and killing with no problem because from that player's point of view everything above their elbows is exposed. In a 3PS that problem is neutralized (albeit at the price of sometimes shooting and hitting the very edge of a wall).
