About Rance

For the longest of time, I keep having the vibes that Rance is eventually going to run out of luck, and he will become lost/trapped/frozen(like Sill for the irony?) along with his fated women, and it will be up to his son and the few that managed to escape, to save him.

Like, I just don't know why I feel so sure about this; almost as if I'd read some materials somewhere that revealed this maybe - but logically thinking that's totally impossible. But still...

Well, Rance does have a son and daughter so I wouldn't be surprised if they did a spin off with them...but it wouldn't be the same with the main character missing most of the game. CoughcoughMetalGearSolid2coughcough.

Rance currently "controls" 75% of the Human Realm.
Once upon a time, the Japanese H-game magazine "TECHGIAN" had a ranking to let the readers vote for their favorite H-game character. For a year, Rance held the first place. Then TECHGIAN changed the ranking to "your favorite H-game heroine", disqualifying Rance
Rance has no level cap and is likely to be the first to reach sword skill level 3.

Anybody who would succeed Rance as the MC for that installment would have a tough time matching him, if that's even possible. If anything I could see it as a temporary thing during a few chapters in a Rance game, but an entire Rance game would be finicky.



Strange usage of fated women, is there a cage capable of holding all the women in the world?

No. In Rance 6 I think, he went to a place to get some answers, and apparently Sill, Kanami, and Shizuka are confirmed to be his fated women.

and everybody knows Sill loves Rance since the very first game. I think there'll be a few more, maybe like Kenshin, but we won't know until later.

On a completely unrelated note, FUCK THAT BUG I COULDN'T GET THE MONKEY BALL BECAUSE EVEN THOUGH I MET THE CLEAR CONDITION (don't use Pitten) FOR SOME REASON IT DOESN'T CLEAR!

EDIT: So I did a little look up, and Rance apparently as 10 girls he's destined with.

And Rance 10 will be the last of Rance series...

Well I was just cracking a joke, but I was unaware of Rance's fated women. Partially I think that was a pretty good joke on TADA's part to say that Rance is greedy enough to have ten women for each fate string on his fingers, but seeing as how the fated play a prominent role in the series (especially IX) it's hard to see it as only a joke. Regarding the other seven fated women the one's I'm pretty confident of would be: Senhime considering IX and her frequent appearance lately, Kenshin's attachment to Rance(but you could say the same about Ria) and I'm quite sold on Pastel\Reset considering their relationship.

Yeah that mission is bugged, I went back to it after going ahead a chapter and it worked.

I think TADA said that they plan on at least going to Rance 10, which means that the main series will probably end there but Rance spinoffs are possible. Might not be well received but possible.

The author - or the producer, or the artist, or whatever - apparently said that he's getting old, and he didn't have much time left so he wanted to finish this while he can. Like... how old exactly is this guy to say something like that, really.

You mean TADA? That's Alicesoft's former company head. So, basically however old he was when Alicesoft was formed. Add 25 years to that.

From digging around the net and finding absolutely NOTHING concrete, it's possible that he is around 43 years old based on a statement on oh-so-unreliable 4chan that said he started working on eroge after he graduated high-school in 1989. Generally Japanese people have a great constitution and live for a long time, but he's probably thinking about retirement at some point or has health complications. I'm thinking about asking via his twitter, but decided against it.

By the end of all the rance 9 routes plus the rance 6 stuff he has 7 fated women who have seen the yellow tori dream and completed a dentaku cube test with him.

I think he needs more than 10 fated women or there wouldnt be enough room.. Kenshin, Lia, Magic, Crook, Maria, Urzula, Rizna and so on so forth still havent had the dream. Maybe 20, 1 for every finger and toe. Rance would be greedy enough for it :D
