Any recommendations on a free to play MMO RPG games?

Free as in no subscriptions? Because Guild Wars 2 is amazing. Other wise if you just want to download and play for free, Champions Online is largely free to play as well as Lord of the Rings Online. Both have in game stuff you can buy but also have ways to earn "credit" so you can buy them with in game money. I particularly like champions online because it has such a good character creation system.
There are a couple of browser based mmos, but the old game Runescape is the only one that comes to mind right now.

Vindictus (if you count that as an rpg) or recently released f2p swtor (story is good for dark side classes but combat is boring as fuck)

But if you can play it I definetly enjoyed it (till I finished the story).

I just did a quick check on the requirements. My computer can handle the game, But barely...
Thank you for all these recommendations. I will download and play most of these games.

I like just about everything from Nexon or Perfect World. All of their games are free and they do a pretty good job on them

Someone said Nexon, but maplestory in particular.
That is, if you can stand endless grinding. They did fix the game to make it a ton less grindy though so it's not as bad.

Haven't played MS in years but if you do decide to pick it up be prepared to be ridiculously underpowered unless you have the right class. Which for some reason they made some of their classes unavailable a little after their release. The ost of the game is good, particularly ellina the magician town. They might have changed the music since I played but its all around a good game.

Anything by Nexon, World of Tanks or League of Legends.
I haven't played LoL, but Nexon makes pretty good games and World of Tanks is great.

You should try World of Warcraft, but idk if it's a free MMO or not cuz I've never played that PC game in my life.

To play World of Warcraft you have to buy a copy of the game then you have to play for a subscription key every month just to continue on playing the game...

You can play wow up to level twenty for free, but you can't use hardly any of the useful crap, like mail, or chat, or the AH.
i've been into Star Trek online for the last two months. it's not bad, if you can over look the broken stuff. and the fanboys/girls.
anarchy online is free, but very grindy and complicated and vauge about how things work.
D&D online, same company as LoTRO(turbine). can earn ingame currency to unlock more content, but it takes a long time, and i think there is a limit to how much can be earned.
age of empires. RTS mmo. i never play against other people, so for me it's just rts with random people to chat with.
everquest II. it's ok, but much is locked, like most of the classes, and some other stuff. i can't remember because i haven't played in nearly a year.
