Can wait...tomorrow is the shipping date, didn't get a call today, so I guess it'll be in stores on the 14th. Anyone else going to get their copy this week? Wish it would of came out last week, then I could of had a holiday weekend to play it.

From videos I've seen it looked like the movement getting around towns would be a lot of fun, but the battles looked kinda boring and likely to suffer from clunky controls. I'll be interested to hear your opinions on how it actually plays.

Hopefully you've heard correctly and I just drew the wrong conclusions from the video I saw. I wont be getting it either way because I don't have a 360 or PS3(whichever it's for) but I always hope for great games to be released. After all, the better games that are put out, the high standards held for future releases on all platforms.

picked the game up today.
Combat goes like this:
Lock onto target, block, counter, auto kill
Lock onto target, block, attack, block, attack
Lock onto target, hidden blade stealth kill
Lock onto target, throwing knifes
pretty fun so far. Waiting for Kane and Lynch to arrive by ups right now...Sold a lot of my ps2 games to get this game. Still have left over credit, so I might pick up Uncharted and Rock Band this month too!

I got it today, too. It's really fun. I think that it's a good example of a true next-gen game experience. The first time I went to Jerusalem and the whole huge city came into view, it made me go, "Oh!" out loud.

I love raping a whole group of guards and one tries to run away and i shank him in the neck...it gets no better than that. Jumping onto everything moves so smooth that its fun to get chased by the guards on purpose. Throwing knifes > rocks... silly guards :lol:

well ive been playin it for a while now and it hopefully gets better and alot harder. MGS titles are alot more fun cause they are alot mor challenging. i cant wait for MSG4 to come out that game will rock the socks off all these stealth games. the game just pretty much spoon feeds you the information and the kills. the guards are dumber than shit. over all its fun but not next gen amazing. so i would say rent it and dont buy it.

Amazing game though a tad bit short. As a programmer I can say that the shaders they used were amazing. Still not a long enough "epic" game it has plenty of replay value.

What about replay, once you have finished the game, can you still freeroam, or if the game is finished, its over?

Haven't beat the game yet, but there is a "menu" where you can pick what chapter to play. So I assume you can replay missions and stuff.
There's also collecting flags...so many flags...not sure what they do though...

I'll probably pick it up as a rental. Gabe of Penny Arcade liked it, and usually his picks are pretty spot on.

i am very disappointed now. when they say next gen im expecting the games length to be next gen also. not ohh i beat the game in 4 days. this game is a def rent so if you havent boughten it yet dont. the storys good but it cuts you off and now they are gana make a ass creed 2. bs in my opinion. i just want a game that takes me a few months like the old days...
