Batman Arkham Asylum?

I'm so excited about this game! I played through the demo, and it was fantastic. The art is fitting for the genre, and the voice acting is right on target. The combat system is also very versatile, and when my boyfriend and I played through the demo, we both found many different ways to take down our opponents.

It comes out on the 25th yes?
I always want to be two things growing up: either a kindergarden teacher or Batgirl. This is pretty close to choice number 2.

I can't wait to get this on Friday when it comes out (living in Europe ftl). The gameplay looks absolutely stunning and the combat system looks like its had a lot of work put into it.

BWHAHA I have the game finally!!! I stayed up all last night playing the game. It is truly epic. One thing I noticed is how your suit takes visible damage overtime - bullet holes, cuts, tatter cape. The fighting is fluid (My highest is a 40 hit combo), and the different approaches you can take to take down the badguys in a room definetly makes me think I'll be playing through this again. I've only started on the challenge maps (ranked in top 100 on first level Whoo!), but a lot of my time is being dedicated to solving riddlers ...er... riddles...

finished the game and all the riddles just now :3My boyfriend and I are playing through and we find that we are distracted by the riddles and are just dipping our toes into the rest of the asylum.

Finished the game on normal and the only "bad" thing I can say about the game is how once you finish the game you're basically done.(in campaign mode anyway with the exception of the riddles which are really fun) There is no option to start over on cleared data. (Or maybe at least respawn some enemies)
With that aside, I decided to finish up the riddles and got stuck for well over an hour on the last one. Smash 10 joker teeth in Arkham West. I looked everywhere and then found them in the tunnel on the way to Arkham East.
Now just got to try and finish the challenges!

I will buy this game looks great. I have heard great things and the game looks sounds and appears to have a great story.
The only thing is that “detective vision” seems like it will make the game a little too easy, or take away from the experience.

Well, that's a bit of a bummer. At least you can go back and get all of the riddles done. I must say that some of them are quite challenging indeed.
As for me, my boyfriend and I

You can always not use it. The only time it's necessary is when tracking someone.

Yeah, Scarecrow is pretty nuts. Just wait for the final encounter with him. It really scared me. It was so much of a surprise it would be a shame to just blurt it out even with a spoil tag. So lets see if I can be delicate...

I think I'm too young to warrant an Andy Kaufman reference...

Got the game this morning but I've been busy all day and haven't had a chance to play it yet. Hopefully I can get some time tonight to try it out.

Hehe, nobody is ever too young for an Andy Kaufman reference, at least in my book. I'm looking forward to the last fight now.

I need to hurry and get this game so that I can play with the Joker. I applaud the choice for his VA.

I just started playing this today, and glad I did.
I didn't fall into the hype. I watched people play and didn't think it was anything special, and didn't plan on trying it. You just gotta play it to feel how cool it is, the controls are good and the fighting looks and feels awesome. The joker's humor is great too. Almost every time he says something, it makes me laugh.
For example, when he's speaking to his henchmen all over the compound and says something along the lines of
