Bioshock 2

Ok beat the game last night and played a little of the multiplayer here's a little of what I thought.

So good things are is the combat has improved dual wielding plasmids is not only easy but fun. On top of that the new weapons are much better then the old but are basically the same weapons with new ascetics. There are a few new weapons as well here's a list of what you get.

So all in all if you liked the first one you will like the second one even if it's a little bit short cutting off at about the 8 hour mark.

It just came out so why hasn't anybody talk about the game yet?
Anyways I thought it was pretty good and can't wait for some good Big sisters are freaking hot.

Multiplayer though is pretty ugh. Kind of ok but yet I don't like it. It may end up becoming preference but I personally don't like it.

it just looks like the multiplayer got ripped out of the first bioshock and only the machine gun is used. it's the only thing I hear whenever a firefight is goin on.

single player is much more fun. I enjoy the battles with the Big Sisters.

I envy those who own the game.

Yeah Bioshock is good because of campaign but multi just kind of sucks compared to other multiplayers fps out there. I really enjoyed this one quite a bit, 2K took the first one and made it better in my opinion. Lil sisters actually look adorable this time.

The game is surprisingly good, much better than I expected. I thought the story would be forced and perhaps the gameplay would be dampened but they the story is still quite immersive and I'd say that the gameplay has largely improved.

I like to take my time with a game like this, meaning I explore every nook and cranny of everything. I ended up getting almost all of the campaign trophies in one go (GOD DAMN MASTER PROTECTOR TROPHY, fuck that shit) Like the first game, the first weapon(ranged) I get, is actually the one I use least, in this case, the rivet gun. Gotta say, once I got the machine gun accuracy upgrade (more like a minigun, eh?), that was my usual weapon of choice. I love the new hacking weapon, even though it has such a limited supply of mini-turrets. One issue I have with the weapons is: why the fuck are there two "trap" ammo? Rivet gun has one, speargun doesn't need another one, not to mention it's worse than those awesome laser mines. Shit, give the speargun a frost spear or something dammit. Also, that last upgrade to the machine gun is worthless, I mean, why the fuck would you want to blind fire off of walls and hope someone dies?

Now, listening to the diaries made me think of something. If Lamb is such a bitch that Andrew Ryan despises her being, then why the fuck didn't we hear about her in the first game? Makes no sense story wise. Although, I did like how the diaries took you behind the scenes of the first game, revealing just why and how Fontaine became Atlas.

The plasmids have become more fucking epic and I now have a reason to use something besides telekinesis (the best plasmid in the first game, I think). Gin, sure the flamethrower may be a little cool, but have you tried the level 3 electric plasmid? Shit, I got to live my star wars fantasy all over again with this one. Continuous stream of lightning bolts are sexy, not to mention that you can get an elemental vampire tonic which sucks health while you shock bitches. The only thing that ice plasmid is useful for is getting the research done faster, since breaking an enemy makes the research jump to the next level mighty fast. Oh yea, the Eleanor plasmid is cheap, which is cool.

Anyways, this game is awesome, and I'm now doing my second play-through, except this time, I'm harvesting and killing everything.

They should have a tonic that reduces fuel consumption for the drill - -;;.I mean there is a drill specialist tonic and the last upgrade for the drill makes it more worthwhile to keep it spinning

I was even more sad that enemies aren't impaled through your drill and stay onto your drill when you drill dash into them.

Did anyone else think the LAST big sister to be....hot?Lol.

I call bullshit no matter what excuse is made for it. According to this game she was a huge pain in the ass for Ryan and because of the political shit she was involved in, she should be more than just a rumor. This inconsistency is just one of the game designer's fuck ups, nothing too major, but noticeable.

And yes, being the pervert I am, I thought of sticking my "big daddy" inside big sister multiple times.

just completed the first playtrough. Haven't enjoyed a single player campain like this in a long time.

now up to the second playtrough and start a massacre :)

Wow just finished it, that was really breathtakingly amazing. Yeah I'd definitely say that was better than the first, which says a lot cause I loved the first.

LVL 3 Elec was prob. the only plasmid I used for combat...it just rapes everything. The only other plasmid I used was the Fake body one. That is useful in Hard mode. Yeah Rivet gun was pretty useless and I used mostly the Spear, Vulcan, and Drill

I didnt really like the first one too much, but this doesnt look too bad. It seems like it got hyped up again just like the first one, because all I've been hearing about is how much more ass you can kick with SUPER-ULTRA-AWESOME-WEAPONS and such but nothing really amazing or out of the ordinary.

Regardless... Ill give it a try.

I feel too many people are being critical of this game, the story may not have mega oh my god massive twist, but it's a much more well-paced story and was really touching, it was so well done and I loved the game so much.

The only thing I don't like so much about the game is the multiplayer, it feels a bit too clunky and un-finished, I don't like that plasmids give off no effect in multiplayer, so it takes 2 seconds till I know whether I hit my enemy, which by then they may of killed me. It's not bad by any means just needs some patching.

Oh and did anyone manage to get the special edition? I was saving up for a TV but then saw what they were offering and couldn't resist xD Best special edition I've ever bought.

I got the Rapture edition because I pre-ordered.

I do have the problem in multiplayer that the game freezes in the lobby.
also the amount of "lost connection to host" is starting to piss me off.

I did like the game too T_T. I got the good ending too.

It is better in a way.Hacking is better,enemies harder.

Just that going through the story and the audio diary,it seems some parts were not planned out well or not thought out(some plot holes here and there,one old character you know had to OMG GTG early in the game).Obviously the original Devs didnt think there would be a sequel.

There are glitches here and there(On my playthrough,there was once my electic plasmid wont switch to other plasmid,the vending machines didnt make the annoying sounds lol and the option to search corpses were missing at times).

Ah well I've been on the 2K forums and some people are being really critical :S I suppose some hardcore fans just can't be pleased.

And are you by any chance playing the PC version? I've heard theres a number of problems with it, but 2K is working on a patch.

What's there to criticize? Honestly; it took everything the first game had and extended it.

On another note, level 3 electricity + headshot perk + maxed out spear gun = killing alphas and brutes in 2 hits, very nice.
