This Visual Novel's in english.
Through the use of a neat program called Novelty, I was able to make a visual novel within the course of 5 days with close to no rest. I honestly just wanted to test what I can do on Novelty and see it's capabilities. Since it's finished and I liked how it came out, I thought I'd share what I made.
It's just a demo, and one to test what can be done on Novelty. Because of that, there's no title screen, or any credits rolling.(mostly because I don't know how to insert them and make them and I couldn't find the source info to properly credit people)
Anyway, the story is about an order member and a chocolate holstaurus(Holsty is just the shorten for Some Monster Girl Fans use).(If you know about the Monster Girl Encyclopedia, you will understand things in context.) I'll leave that part at that and let you find out about the story through the visual novel itself. However, I will leave this one other bit of info about the story. This is a monster girl adaptation to Dr. Seuss' story, green eggs and ham.
What I was going for is, to see what would it be like if Dr. Seuss was originally written in the universe of the Monster Girl Encyclopedia. To add on to that, I also mused the idea "What if Dr. Seuss was actually a monster girl?". May seem like an odd combination, but you'd be pretty surprised how it can come out.
Features that were tested:
- Voice Acting(Had to test the sound stuff)
- 2 endings (One Good, one amusingly bad ending)
- Some music.(Had to test the sound stuff. They're just some soundfont remixes I made.)
- Customized backgrounds.(They came from MUGEN custom levels and took me hours to piece things together since these backgrounds got dissected when extracted from MUGEN)
- It's fairly short so you can see both endings pretty easily.
- 1 photoshopped Monster Girl(. I know it's just a recolor, but it came out interesting.)
- 1 Custom Exe Icon
(I'm no artist, so it's pretty bare bones and has no CG or anything special like that sadly.)
The Monster Girl artwork came Kenkou Cross. I merely photoshopped the Holstaurus to that chocotized form.

I hope you all enjoy the demo visual novel.

The naming scheme for this visual novel was based on Dr. Seuss much like the visual novel's story.
But I can say, I'm sure you can find a reason to smile in this visual novel.
If you are wondering what a Holstaurus(Holsty for short) is. I believe you would probably know it better as a cow girl or a type of sexy Female Minotaur. They're a really friendly sort.

Proper Music Credits?
To quickly point out, most are all soundfont remixes I worked on. Of course these soundfont remixes are of familiar video games.
BGM for My first exposition - Final Fantasy Tactics - Tutorial Theme (Touhou Soundfont Remix)
BGM 2 - Donkey Kong Country 2 - Enchanted Forest (Touhou Soundfont Remix)
BGM 3 - Cave Story (Touhou Soundfont Remix)
BGM 4 - Stickerbrush Symphony (Touhou Soundfont Remix)
BGM 5 (Good Ending) - If I remember Correctly, "Absent Lovers (Touhou Soundfont Remix)", a song with origins from Virtual On.
BGM 6 (Bad ending) - Avast Your Ass (Touhou Soundfont Remix).
BGM 7 (Bad Ending Sound Clip) - GAME OVER YEAH~!
Fun Fact, I originally was going to rick roll as a bad ending after the line you see the bad ending Marker. Thought it was too mean so I went with what I have. It still stings, but it's only poking fun at the Order.

This was rather interesting. Just got the software so I wanted to ask whom I'm I supposed to ask 4 permission to include some of the monster girls from the encyclopedia in the visual novel. I want to try this out.

If it's a file, everything IS there.
If you are playing on a Mac or Linix computer, you need wine.
