Rumor says it will be a prequel, starring Ghost.

I feel that the CoD series really needs a serious reboot and a new engine. MW2 was all right, but I didn't feel that it was amazing like CoD4 was. I just feel that the series is being milked too much and seriously needs to switch from one game a year to one game every two years. Hearing about the next big CoD every fall is starting to drive me nuts.

EDIT: It was just revealed that the countdown site is actually a hoax. Oh noes!

The Call of Duty franchise has become analogous to a soap opera, made on a regular basis with the same material in different drag.
Most of the [new] CoD games seem to lack depth, even the multi-player feels old after a few rounds. It's a shame too, since the franchise was a blast back in its glory days.

I've played through pretty much all of the main CoD games released for PC since release.

call of duty is super played out, I'm done with it.

Only bought black ops because my friends kept nagging me to buy it. Shit is old and stale already.

Another reason why I don't like the current CoDs now.

Come guys it's freaking activision what did you expect ,did you not see what they did with the hero music series ?

Well, you know that more than likely this year's game will be MW3. A lot have just been doubting it because of most of Infinity Ward jumping ship and moving to EA.

The COD franchise will soon be dead to me with the release of Brink and Battlefield 3. Brink will be used to scratch my run 'n' gun itch and Battlefield 3 will cover my crippling addiction to n00b t00bs and explosive ordnance..

The modern shooter genre is dead to me.

Activision wasn't bad back in the day, when they released some pretty awesome games like Dark Reign.



It died after Unreal Tournament 2004 and Quake 3.

[font=Verdana][color=green]This is why the Killzone franchise rocks Call of Duty. At least they try to do something different from Call of Duty; unlike others in the field. I'm looking at you, Medal of Honor.

I've seen the gameplay footage and it doesn't seem that much different to Call of Duty only its in a different setting.
Seems like a good game though.

Edit: I did a bit of reading apparently CoD and KZ have similarities but the gameplay is vastly different between the two franchises.

i hate those pointless games..i only borrow them from friends to get trophy's or achievements ..they basically made 4 games identical in style,gamesplay and graphics
