COD gets a new engine (Maybe)

So apparently the next COD game will have a new engine. This is the tech demo.



So what do you think? Is this really the next engine or a fake? If it is do you think it will actually be like this?

CoD's been basically running on the same engine for several years. This new engine could solve a lot of problems as well as allowing the developers to finally change gameplay beyond minor tweaking.

The engine itself is still in development, and what they present now will vary once the finished product is demonstrated.

I don't generally play COD but I'll probably pick this one up if the previews impress me and the multi-player has drastic changes.

It's taken them long enough. If this is true then this could be good.

If this is true then the next Call of Duty could look amazing, Activision sure has enough money to do something like this.

It's still gonna be unoriginal and your still gonna be shooting guns. I don't care how realistic they make the people in game, I'm still gonna be shooting them.

Not another COD, for crying out loud.

But then, I just hope that this new engine can compete with source or unrealtech or farcry's light engine.

I'll be interested if they change up the gameplay and make it more interesting to look at instead of grey and more shades of grey.

I argue that games like Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door have better graphics than CoD because they are unique, clean, and fun to look at. CoD is just gritty shooter game 5. I don't really care how realistic it looks, if realism was a selling point I'd have a full gaming pc by now.

i'll play it when one of my brothers picks it up, could be interesting seeing how it changes the gameplay.

Well first off, when will Activision stop making COD games soon? and second,I'm deadass sure that the new engine that they add into the mix on the next COD game is just a stone cold rumor 4 real!

I'd rather get a used copy of MW1 and Battlefield 4 along with some sci-fi space shooter similar to Project Slypheed: Arc of Deception.

Why can't games today not head to the "look realistic" look huh? saddens me that most shooters I have played went from looking arcadish to being realistic pieces of crap. :/ heck even ace combat assulat horizon went that way and I am like faceplaming myself cause of it -_-

Engine won't mean anything if the gameplay, mechanics, multiplayer, and story suck.
