I like games like this. I've signed up and gave you the referral.
Being a noob, I've already made a couple bad decisions, but I'm sure I'll recover.

Just don't buy the following planes:
-ATR42
-Yak-40
-An-12
I would recommend buying an MD-81 and ATR72. But sometimes an Airbus A300 is available below $50 Mil in the used planes market.
Currently I'm already a high level player operating the following planes:
-Airbus A320
-Antonov An-225
-Airbus A380-800
-Dash 8 Q400
-Dash 8 Q300
And also just fly short routes if you are below 20 Rating, Flying above that is a risk since there is now far too many competition with other airliners.

man, this is a bit different than your average browser game, this one really needs some brains to play. So, in the end I kept experimenting and declaring bankruptcy.
0
Lols sometimes its really like that. I too declared bankruptcy a few times before I had my big break when an A300 was in the market

Thanks for the tips.
I was just buying random slots, so that really hurt me. Had to declare bankruptcy and start over. Doing just fine now.

I would also recommend that you guys join an alliance. PSBA and PanAm is in America, EuroSky for Europe, Wings of Asia and Pacific Ring for Asia.

How do alliance slots work? I get discounts for flying there?
edit: I guess I'll join Pacific Wings, since you're the leader.

Actually its Wings of Asia, and yes we have a lot of discounts and low taxation rate. Plane Purchase Discount slashes 10% off if you buy a new plane, and Plane Leasing discount also slashes 10% off of your normal leasing cost. Our alliance will also buy a new Plane Repairs discount which slashes 10% off as well of all aircraft repairs. Fuel assistance is also maximum.

Ah, my mistake. Requested to join Wings of Asia then.
Edit: do you have any suggestion when to repair airplanes? Right now I'm doing it after every flight.

Any tips for making a profit? No matter where I fly, I lose money. I've tried the shortest flights I could possibly make, I've tried long flights, and everything in between. The last thing I want to do is keep losing the alliance money.
I'm based in Tokyo if that info is useful.

What plane do you use? If its the ATR 72 it does fail sometimes, but not frequently unlike the Yak-40 and ATR 42 which fails always.
Fly routes like Tokyo to Osaka or from Osaka to Nagoya or Nagasaki. Don't ever fly long range routes if you are below 20 rating.

BTW How many Airliners are coming in to Tokyo via Domestic only (From Osaka or Nagasaki). Because it can create competition as well especially if there is a high ranking airliner operating there.
Even my competitors here in the Philippines are begging me to move my A380 to another location. But I just ignored them since the A380s give me enough profit anyways.

Maybe it's the competition, then. I notice I'm not getting many passengers at all. I finally have a decent amount of passengers on one of my current flights, Nagasaki to Nagoya. Might be my first profitable one.

My home base is in Osaka, so I'm probably cutting some of your potential profit.
