Dark Souls PC

I would urge that all that wish to see this game on PC go to:
http://petitionbureau.org/DarkSoulsForPC to sign the petition and
http://forums.namcobandaigames.eu/showthread.php?t=96407 to voice their opinion.
There is also TB's video on this topic http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OUXw86Vn8ko
I do believe that the chances are pretty high. The petition has gained over 10k signatures in only 8 hours and broken ever forum activity record :D

I do believe that there is a possibility, but I don't think that some online petition will have any major impact on the decision whatsoever. Namco Bandai has already stated that "Something like the PC is always in our minds, but we have no definitive answer right now." and I think that's as much an answer as we're going to get.

It COULD be possible. Some fans had a petition for Xeno something. I know they called themselves operation rainfall. At first Nintendo basically said no. Next thing you know theres a release for america.
I'll leave this here.

The situation with Xenoblade is completely different though. Odds are Operation Rainfall didn't do squat and it was just NOA being dumb.

I would buy it all over again for pc. I have it for 360. I'd even buy it for ps3 if I had a ps3. Dark souls is literally the latest game I've had the most fun out of.
Even after losing a lot of souls, I could easily obtain them again.

LOL at the first reply on the Namco Banda forum. Talk about completely killing the topic before it even got started.

True, but that comment was made even before the initial launch.
Also I don't understand what this discussion is doing on the Namco Bandai's eurpoean threads. In the end it will be From Software that makes the decision, they're the ones that will have to do the work, and they're the ones publishing in Japan.
With that said, don't listen to anything that the Moderators on the forums have to say, they are not at all involved in the process and most likely they don't know more than any other sap.

They still probably have the ability to pass on feedback. And if it's something like "50k ppl want DS on PC. And that's just the vocal minority (as with all game forums)" I think there some sort of chance.

I support the idea, altough the chances might be slim. The more attention this game gets, the better it will be for everyone.

Indeed. At the very least, I think we deserve some sort of response from them when they come to work on Monday and see an avalanche of requests :D

If they don't do it for Dark Souls, I'd at least hope they'd consider PC as a serious platform for their next title.
One of From Software's only PC games was Ninja Blade, which I played. It was pretty good, and from that alone I'm sure they have the talent to port it to the PC reliably.

Well, the good news is, we have a response.

Let's hope they decide it's worth it. Though votes have been slow past few days.

Even though I have this on my PS3, I would still buy this for my PC in a heartbeat...
Although, I wonder if there's gonna be mods on the PC version...

I don't own a PS3 or a 360, so I am thrilled to know that ts going to get out on PC.
After Skyrim though, I expect I'm going to be rusty on the danger evaluation levels and will die relentlessly quite a few times.

Before that, we are forced to hope that the port is actually at least semi-competent. There's a danger of it running like crap on all but the highest end pc's (this is more of a rumour, but considering that we've been told that no real optimization will be done, it's still a possibility).
This made me go from 'preorder ASAP' to 'dl when it gets leaked to test performance, then pre-order if still time left, or buy ASAP'. Kind of sad, but I hope for the best.

Hmmm, Idk, from all the tests and videos I've seen, it doesn't seem like a problem. Running it will probably be okay on minimal for most average computers, while I agree Ultra might be out of reach for the standard machine.
I found this to be minimal config:
Windows XP, Vista, 7
Processor 2,6 Ghz double-core,
1 Go (XP) to 2 Go (Vista / 7) of RAM
4 Go of free space
Graphics Card GeForce 8800GT / Radeon 4850 or better,
DirectX 9.0c,
Additionnal : multi will need a headset with microphone
That seems reasonable to me, but its true that they specified that no improvements have yet been done to the game mechanics or graphics.
EDIT: Ooh, and a question just popped up in my mind. Will there be online compatibility between , ps and PC? At least at the "leaving messages" level? I'm intrigued because that would be awesome.
