That's...actually not where I was going with my question..I guessed as much ,I just wanted to talk about the gravity defying T&A in DOA...is that so wrong ?
Its wrong when he's a homo. Gravity defying T&A will only serve to give him nightmares and feelings of inadequacy.

You're disrespecting me because I asked a simple question? Wow..

Alright, lol.
Anyway, I was asking if he (or any of you for that matter) actually sat down and played one. Like DOA4, for example. Dunno how much any of you guys are into fighters, but there is much depth in the game. DOA3.1 has more depth though.

I see, so you only played it casually. That's fine.
But this is what I mean by "the game having depth". Knowing how a fighting game's engine works and how to apply it well while knowing your own character's strengths and weaknesses and how to apply them to the fullest extent, in high level play.
Examples:
Me (Ayane) vs o MASTER o (Hayabusa)
Me (Ayane) vs o Chosen1 o (Bradwong)
Me (Ayane) vs IR E L A Xx (Hayabusa)
These are pretty old though.

I-no is easy once you know all her attacks. Easy mode would be to attempt the instant kill move again and again. One of the more "fair" boss fights I would say.

Okay, so I just bought DOA dimenstions and.... wow. This stuff is really good. I mean, damn. Im not usually a fan of fighting games on handhelds, but this came out so good. They knew exactly what they were doing. Naturally, I could be wrong, seeing as how I just started playing it, but hey. It at least lands the first impression well. Thats important.
Anyways, starting chronicle mode. After I beat that and hopefully get the characters im actually good with, ill start playing online.
So yeah... DOA dimensions discussions thread? Feel free to post friend codes too, ill probably start online play in the next week if people want to play me.
Fair warning though:
I suck at this game. I can barely beat arcade on true fighter mode.

Man, I haven't played a doa game in years. In fact, I only played 1-2. Where's the love for pc and playstation? I'm not getting a nintendo system or crapbox for just one game.

I purchased a copy of "Dead or Alive Dimensions" recently, as its price has dropped at one of the local game stores.
At the moment, I am still trying to find my way around the various characters. Unfortunately, after experimenting with the Online mode, I realized that quite a number of users tend to choose Ryu Hayabusa, who has a projectile move. In addition, some users tend to disconnect upon losing their matches. But I suppose such actions happen in all other online games... right?

Yup, the DOAD online is filled with Hayabusa spammers and I've even seen Raidou spammers in some cases. Not all fighting games are filled with spammers it's just that Hayabusa's projectile is as simple as pressing back+L and lots of people do it for cheap victories.
Before I sold my 3ds I mained Zack (his mixups are actually quite good and good damage potential) and I was practically unbeatable :)

Oh no, you sold your Nintendo 3DS? Why? I was hoping to have more Fakku members as my friends on the 3DS. :(
Getting back on topic, I suppose it is inevitable for users wanting to win badly. Unfortunately, if everyone does so, the online feature will no longer be as fun, at least for DOAD.
At the moment, I am training hard with Kokoro. Not sure why I chose her instead of the other characters, but I am enjoying it... although I am still getting myself beaten badly online. ^_^;;

Online Spammers: They mostly spam Hayabusa, Raidou, Genra and most of the ninjas + holds. I usually worked my way around them with a good combo game and keeping myself close to them, and while the holds can be annoying at times, you could try delaying your strikes somewhat to interrupt the opponent.
Why I sold my 3ds: Well many of my favoured games on the 3ds aren't coming to Western shores (Monster Hunter 3 G and possibly 4, Beyond the Labyrinth and so on) and seeing as how the hackers have made no progress at all regarding the region lock bullshit I figured that I'd be better off selling mine for a Japanese 3ds, though that won't happen until perhaps the end of the year.

Thanks for the advice! I must step up on my game if I want to improve my online ranking within Dead or Alive: Dimensions.
And to go a little off-topic, I will await your purchase of a Japanese Nintendo 3DS set at the end of the year.
