Dead Space - Is it really "scary"?
0
Dead Space is really intense on, well, Intense, because their isn't anything that can't own your face off. For the first three chapters where you don't have much ammo, it can be scary as shit. The game becomes melee, run your ass away until it comes back again, melee some more. That game has scared me more than a few times on Intense.
Personally, I love Dead Space. One of my favorite games.
EDIT: I only play in the dark with the sound way up. Shit's fucking scary, yo.

I didn't have an ammo problem on Intense either, so maybe thats why it didn't scare me. Or it could of been that it was so fun that I didn't think about the freakyness around be a la Bioshock.

I borrowed Dead Space from my friend and returned it the next day after playing for 3 hours. I found it not scary at all. It was too pridictable and how can I be scared when I can freeze objects and mutilate the dead bodys to a bloody pulp. If anything I was more afraid of the main character than the zombie/aliens, if an engineer is that powerful how the hell did everyone else fail so hard.
