Disgaea Dimension 2: A Brighter Darkness

2nd official English trailer
This gave me a good laugh. I can't understand why anyone would play this game with English dubs. Every voice-over in this video sounded beyond terrible. You have horrible taste if you think otherwise. That is a fact.
Still can't wait for this game though. At least NISA always gives us dual audio. I wouldn't buy this game if they didn't.

I'm still playing D1 and 2. Haven't gotten around to 3 and 4 yet. For some reason I'm very slow at playing this series. I take my time grinding and leveling up all of my characters, weapons, armor etc.

Disgaea 1's is beyond dated, i'd just watch youtube stuff of the story unless you really want to deal with archaic systems.
It's not a series you have to play in order anyway, if anything you should just get caught up to speed on D1's story before starting Dimensions 2, since all of the other games are independent.

I thought 4 had a good story and the levels didn't feel lazy to me at all. I actually liked using mana to buy skills too. It's basically the same thing as earning them through leveling except you can choose what to buy. I will agree that 3 was probably the weakest entry though.

I don't think I'd like buying skills (It would be a bitch for mages). And yes, D1 is still playable. I should know since I'm still playing it.

I bought disgaea 3 and 4 almost 2 weeks ago since I was suggested those two for gameplay and the first disgaea for the story.

It actually works really well for mages. You can keep reincarnating a character until they know every type of magic in the game. It's different at first but you'll get used to it.... probably... unless your Sneaky. I personally like the system.

Obligatory bump
The game is now out in North America. I ordered the standard edition from NISA's online shop and it should be arriving soon.

I have the limited edition. Flonne and Etna statues are....so goddamn terrifying to put together. It felt like it would break.
