Dystopia

Based on the age old conflict of red vs blue, Dystopia puts Corporate Security (blue) against Punk Mercenaries (red). Being objective based you run around fighting to defend or destroy positions. Whats different from say TF2 is that most objectives require someone to use a cyberdeck to hack the computer network of the map to assist in some way. Be it switching the targeting on turrets so they shoot the enemy, closing doors to limit angles of attack or activating traps to thin out the incoming foes. Though some objectives can only be taken while decking, like spawn points closer to the final objective. However when decking your meatspace body is an easy kill relying on your teammates for defence. For your meatspace body you can chose from three types, the light, the medium, the heavy. Heavy being the slow one with a lot of health and armor, light being the fast one with low health and armor, medium is the balance of the two. Each class has 4 weapons to choose from and pulls a number of implants from a collection of 14, most of which are available to all classes. However you can't make a stealth decking heavy though :(.
Its a mod for the Source Engine, meaning if you have one of the games on this list your good, so go jack in and kick some ass.

Ah yes, this and Eternal Silence. I haven't actually played this one yet though, so I can't put any opinions out on it. :P

What's up with that creepy cliffhanger at the end of the tutorial. >_>
Anyway, I love cyberpunk settings, and this game seems to win big time.
Gotta play it some more to figure out what the hell's actually going on though.

I think at the end of the tutorial it turns out the "abandoned" building your in is a hideout for some punks. I'd go back to make sure but Dystopia won't start. "This game is currently unavailable. Please try again at another time." my ass . Oh yeah and if you try to play now you need to do this first. Steam fails hard some times.
