E3 2014

I actually thought Sony had a good conference. Outside of that 10 minutes of talking about PSTV or PSnow it was overall a good showing. Show a lot of indie games, some big named games, and just a lot of games. I cannot compare it to Microsoft since didn't watch their whole thing, but as a PS4 owner I loved what I saw. Yes the Vita was overlooked and maybe should have shown more of that, but the amount of games coming to the PS4 just has a girl like me all giggly inside. Also Little Big Planet 3 has me so excited, and maybe as much as a Destiny or Batman did.

Ubisoft I thought had a decent showing. To me opening with FarCry4 was awesome, but outside of the AC5 gameplay (which i loved) and the emotional Valiant Hearts I really didn't see much appeal. All the dancing was annoying and the USA vs France thing was sort of corny. Also just felt like the host was trying to be too hip with her stereotypes and curse words, sorry not 10 anymore so was sort of annoying.

So far I think overall good though I completely miss Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy XV, oh square how much more will you disappoint me.... I am not huge on the Nintendo conference, but maybe they will change that with some big named games, but I feel we may see another year of Nintendo taking a backseat.

I still believed until the end.

That was a really well done trailer. I forgot about that, added to my hype train.

Today, lots of unannounced titles, hopefully entertaining trailers. I'm excited to watch the Evolve tourney, that looks like a fun game.

Nintendo's was short and sweet, but mainly because they're still going to be announcing things throughout the day.

New open world Zelda might be interesting. I wonder if the mountain thing was intentional or a joke.
Hyrule warriors looks good.
Captain Toad gets his own game.
Mario stage editor the game might be decent fun if it's cheap.
Smash reveals were expected but still nice.
The squid/ink game looks like it has potential.

Overall Nintendo showed the most gameplay for all of their games and I'm looking foward to their Miyamoto's big reveal later on today at the Tree House event. It's hopefully a new Starfox game.

Well just finished up Nintendo digital short.

-Smash well basically what you expected. Though addition of Mii Characters has me like "blah." The games looked good but do you really care enough to have your Mii fight? I rather use the characters I grew up to love in the Nintendo franchise.
-Captain Toad game is basically the new Mario game with different character.
-Hyrule Warriors looks good, but it is just Dynasty Warriors with Zelda characters. It will sell but will it suffer from having to much of hack/slash that has sort of deluded the Dynasty Warrior franchise?
-New Open world Zelda was sort of funny cause we already seen games do it so not greatly new thing to have an open world. The "gameplay" looked good and will be interesting to see when it gets further along.
-Mario Stage editor might be a fun game and you will see lots of levels.
-Splatoon looked good, but looks like a party game. Doesn't seem like there is more to it than splatter more ink on the field than other team. So I don't see as much potential to it as I would have hoped. Though made me wonder what perverted thoughts went into making that game lol.
-Ambiio or whatever they called it didn't interest me at all. Basically it is a Disney Infinite ripoff and just seems to add something that just makes you shrug your shoulds like "okay then."
-Yoshi game looked amazing.
-Pokemon games got me excited

Overall Nintendo had a good digital conference. At times was boring, but a lot of gameplay made up fro that. My only problem is does any of these games make you want to go out to buy the Wii U now? Smash you can play on 3DS and everything else worthwhile won't be out till 2015 at the earliest. Maybe a year from now I will want it, but nothing that comes out this year makes me want it now...

P.S. Nintendo is apparently annoucing StarFox game at 12:35 in their treehouse. You could sort of see the game "maybe" at the end with Miyamoto playing it at the end.

Bayonetta 2 with Bayonetta 1 port, Hyrule Warriors, New unnamed LoZ game that's "open world", Devil's Third(very gritty, but it's from Tagaki, the creator of Ninja Gaiden so it's expected), New Starfox, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Smash Bros.

All of those are good reasons to want a Wii U, not including games already out like Tropical Freeze, MK8, W101, Pikmin 3, 3D world, Mon Hun3 U, Rayman Legends(looks and plays the best because it was practically made for this console, but the vita has some exclusive content).

Obviously none of these might appeal to you specifically, but it has a good selection of games out. Arguably the most actual exclusives(not timed, or console only).

All 3 showed a lot of good things so I can imagine why someone would have a hard time wanting to stick to only one.

I want a Wii U. Too many exclusives I want to play really badly. Especially Hyrule Warriors, Bayonetta 2, and Smash. 3DS won't be enough for me for Smash.

I'm mad because I want Xenoblade X... Following a lucky series of events, I happen to own a Wii so I did play Xenoblades, but luck's not gonna strike twice so chances are:
1)I'm not playing this
2)Pay a shitton of money on consoles in 2015.

I'm having love/hate feelings towards exclusives right now.

Did Persona 5 made it to E3 or not? I'm Just asking though.

Too niche for E3 so no, probably at TGS.

Which is weird since Atlus is at E3 though. They're the ones who makes the press badges.

I guess P5 isn't ready enough to show of yet. I'm sure they'll have Persona Q and the dancing game in their show floor.

Problem to me only 1 of those is worthwhile for me and the rest of exclusives I want to play don't come out for another year at the very earliest. I think I will wait maybe a good deal on Wii U will come out and I will get one then.

Also apparently some people are annoyed with Destiny cause it already feels like other games, like Borderlands. I have the game preordered and cannot wait to get into the beta. Also saw new Batman gameplay and serious is making me spell love with a "BATMAN."

Mass Effect 4, woot. Ending aside from 3, I'm really interested in what they plan do with it. I kinda want them to do a mmo'ish thing or expand on the mulitplayer. But for now they are doing something else, and I am happy with that.

The R&C Movie now has a film trailer rather than just a Teaser.



I also hear they're remaking the very first Ratchet and Clank game.
