Haha, it's not like it's super hard or anything. It's exactly as you said, trying to level them all up. Moreover, I hate using potion.
I didn't use any potion at all when I play the game, except on the last chapter of my first play. I swear the mobs are just annoying.

The Hard Mode wasn't that Hard.
I could say it was fairly easy.
The problem was the mobs in bonus maps and EX maps .They're insanely strong ,only 2 of my characters could fight againt 3 mobs at a time (Will and Ragusmuena) ,the rest bit the dust at the 2nd mobs.
Even Yuera with her high Evade can't do much.
And the mobs of EX maps stronger than your Hard Mode final boss (in 1st play ,yeah ^_^).

My 1st play was Hard Mode ,but my 2nd was Easy (after ~20 hours in Hard Mode ,I decided to replay with easy #_#).And of course I removed the mobs' lv limit.

Finally beat the game, and restarted (110 hours... maybe took a little too long). Playing the EX maps now and gathering the new characters. Wish I had gathered more materials during my first playthrough, though. That's a good lesson to take.

what do you mean by removing the mobs lv limit? you mean you continue to lvl up even higher or you choose to have the lvl remained as the first playthrough?

I wonder how to get Ragusmuena. I didn't get her in my first play of Yuera's route. but well, let's see what happens in this second play.

Currently in 3rd play ,~46 hours.
Chapter Eplogue of Emiritta's route .Gonna clear all EX map .Train all characters level to ~80 (because I play without level bonus ^_^).

*What's new in the future bonus data ?_?
-All characters Weapon Rank M (highest).
-All characters lv ~80 with higher stats than the old bonus.
-Gold ? ~4 million ^_^.
-A lot of new Items.

ah, ok. I got what you mean. right now I'm in the middle of doing the ex map. the fairy map was tough like hell.

"2nd play" ,set the EX bonus when start the new game.
Will and 3 heroines lv >60 .Have all sub characters from 1st play (not clones) except Ruka ,Lufia and Evelyn.
Finish the EX map lv 60 in Yuidora .Then finish the EX map lv 65 appear after that.Asmodeus will come to your house as a guest.
-Chapter Epilogue ,talk with her => she'll ask you to make a sword + 4 furnitures.Watch some event in Yuidora and she will leave your house.
-Finish ~4 or 5 more EX map in Yuidora and defeat her => she will join you.

Alpha_5 do you know how to get ragusmuena?

somehow, I didn't get her event when I chose yuera in my first play.
I went all the way to the event where we went to a dungeon with her, but nothing after that.

I don't remember much about it.All you need is protect her when go with her to the dungeon to fight that damn pegasus knight.
Chap 8 ,I think you need to lv up Will and Yuera a bit to ~40 (the higher ,the better .All my chars ~lv 40 at the end of chap 7).Ragusmuena will have a star above her .Talk with her in your house ,watch the H-scene,and she will follow you to the end of time (that what I want ,at the end of every route ,she wait for you at home though ^_^).

@Ihavenot : forgot to tell you, when you choose the EX map that has Asmodeus ,your default chars will be Will,Yuera,Serawi,Emiritta ,and you can choose 5 more chars.The 3 heroines must change to their normal 1st armor (automatic when enter the map ,so make sure to upgrade them).

aah. maybe that's why I miss her. I hope I can get her on the second playthrough.
