You must install Kamidori to play it.
Copy the game folder do no good .You'll get a bunch of errors.

Question on the last fight, so instead of playing with all the different pillars i sent my people up and killed the caccoon in the first round of attacks, did i miss things other than possible items by not doing things with the pillars. Also does the ending change.

You only miss some items (drop from mobs).
The Ending is the same whenever you clear the whole map or just kill the cocoon.

...Really...? I gave my friend a copy of this game, not as an ISO image, but by copying the whole folder. Worked that way for him...

Also... in Chapter 6...

I'm now after this Gantz fellow. in the story, I'll need to ask merchants; it's either asking the "Cute merchant" or the "Rich merchant". either way, I'll be paying them. the Rich merchant costs 30K while the cute merchant cost only 5k... is there a reason why I should go for the rich merchant? or is he just over pricing?

Spoiler:
If I remember correctly both merchants will lead you to Gantz. The difference is that the cute merchant will scam you and make you go through more conversations while the rich merchant is a straight arrow that points you to Gantz directly.

If you take the 5k option you will not get the chest with the really good items in it after you fight Gantz

Then your friend should check the game version .It should be ver 1.04.0000 ,not 2.00.0019 (full Append).

Both lead you to Ganz.
Ask the old man and the map when you capture Ganz will have a hidden room (Ful's Mill)
The girl only tell you Ganz's location.

Edit: Sword flash or evasive? I don't seem to see the difference :|

The folder copy still have Eng patch ,but when you get to Append part ,sometimes you'll get error.

Evasive increase your Evade.
Sword Flash give you some chance to evade the enemy ATK (depend on Speed and Luck)

Also, are weapons with slot-like things on them any good? or should I go for those with better attack/Int? I could create Emilita's personal Staff, courtesy of her route, but is it any good for a late-game item?

Those weapons can be level up.
The long slot is the EXP meter.
When the weapons level up ,they'll become stronger.

Yes, I use your link that gives MF link in a folder. So I just need to wait huh.
What a waste of time when I want to play it.

Go to the map and it's pretty near of the town you're in.
When you unlock different areas of the map the game shows you so pay attention.

Well, fuck. Only at prologue and already in trouble.

Spoiler:
In the Sunlit Clearing (or whatever it is), the first time Emelita joined our party. I can't seem to pass this stage. Keyword: That river-thingy in the southern part of the map. I can't seem to get past it. Any idea?

Just go to the center of the map (where a bunch of animals were killed).
The reaper will appear.
You can't defeat her => don't worry about it .You must lose after all ^_^

I am already at my 4th playthrough but I still haven't seen it..
