EVO 2013

I don't know if this counts as advertising and if so I will request this thread to be deleted.
If you like fighting games then you should watch EVO 2013 where they have the top fighting game tournament of the year! It is live streamed on Twitch for those interested it goes from 7/12 - 7/14.
Here is the schedule for what games are being played when.

They're doing Melee instead of Brawl?

Melee is more fast paced and better suited for competitions.


OT: Gonna be away in the weekend but I'll try to watch Smash, P4A, and few of the finals if I get the chance, and some Killer Instinct.

It was decided by everyone who donated for it, also the donations went to charity but I forgot which one.

Chances are likely that I won't be around to see the finals live because of work, but I'll try to watch as much of the matches as possible, hoping to see some good Marvel hype this year.

I'll probably tune in once in a while or when I feel like it. The only game that interests me are Melee and Marvel but then again Marvel is just Vergil Doom whoever. Hope to see some underdog players. Like that MODOK player last year.

In the name of all that is holy, what's SFxT still doing on a fighting game tournamnent? This year's EVO is so fucked. So many wasted slots for the NRS crap nobody wants to see just because they fed money into the thing, P4U has to bring fan organized stream setups and Smash got kicked out from Nintento itself. So much industrial incest going on, haha.

Actually, they pulled a 180 on us and they're allowing the Smash stream at EVO to happen.

I am not a fan of Smash. I was relieved when I heard it wouldn't get stream time and I saw Persona would be taking up it's time-slot on stream, but now I'm back to being disappointed.

P4A, SFxT, and TTT2 got screwed over hard this year. Finals on both the first and second days at incredibly early times. I'm so upset to see Tekken on the first day with no pools...

I might tune in. I'm disappointed that there isn't a Soul Caliber fight.

I sort of agree on this, there isn't enough much games to cater for EVO tourney play this year.

I agree I disliked that Soul Calibur wasnt up there this year, last year was awesome when the Tira player won.

One day. Just one day I want to experience EVO.
And why in hell is there a K.I. demo going on?!

Any idea why there's no slot for ANY SC in general?

Its a guess but I think its because of how many people signed up for it or they had to make room for Smash.

EDIT: It looks like other games will be streamed but the 3 I posted are the main ones and I have no idea where the other games will be, but it looks like BlazeBlue is a definite other one.

Personally, I thought these were the best EVO matches for this year, nothing else was that intense. Makes a KOF follower like myself happy that the game has a strong fanbase compared to Marvel and SF for tourneys.

This year's EVO did some of the best matches of any other year especially KOF XIII the past two years. I wish I could play that game but I don't have the execution to play the game well and I have played a lot of fighting games.

After KOF was Smash. I was hyped the entire time, and then came Injustice wasn't exciting for me... BUT then came Mahvel and SFIV. That was fun as hell to watch.

I played KOF 13 for awhile when I had PS + and found out the hard way it is VERY strict on the combo executions and move inputs this time around than most games, no wonder its probably still the hardest fighter to come around when you're doing the character trials compared to other 2D fighters. I got to hand it to these guys for making the matches look entertaining on such a hard game.
