At Gamestop we've got a release date for 10/01/08, so expect it sometime in August-September, God willing.
Peter has a track record for hyping his games, but I think after the failure of Fable to live up to his dreams, we'll see some changes this time around. It only supports this ideal with the type of games we're seeing today. They're not the leaps and bounds that we saw in our previous generation, but they're definitely next-gen.
Also, unless something new came out on the subject, Online co-op was not confirmed, merely split screen on the same hard drive, in which any mission or quest completed would carry over to both profiles.

Yeah I've been waiting for that since the moment I played the first one. Heck I still play the first one from time to time, even tho I have it memorized its still quite fun. I do hope they make it a little harder than the first tho.

yep i waiting for that too love the gameplay and now i heard it is more free roam and if you married and your wife will folow you into quest and adventure in the game pretty neat rite?

Anayway, I'm totally going to buy this game and rape it and make it my slave. Yeah. I loved the first game so I'm probably going to pre-order it... The fact that you can dominate the whole Fable 2 game by buying up everything there is to own is pretty sweet.
BTW is it just me or does the dog system seem a little worthless?

Anayway, I'm totally going to buy this game and rape it and make it my slave. Yeah. I loved the first game so I'm probably going to pre-order it... The fact that you can dominate the whole Fable 2 game by buying up everything there is to own is pretty sweet.

Expect a I am Legend style heartbreak :)
I think the dog is pretty useless to be honest.

I think the dog is a cool reflection of your own persona, but in all, it will never stack up to Dogmeat. But anyway, I expect Fable 2 to end up just like the first one: Great first playthrough, but then when you realize how terribly short the story is, you kinda lose interest. I'm still getting it though. I pre-ordered SE and I'm waiting for those Pub Games to come out so I can get to work on earning some gold.

The story was quite short, but the reason why Fable was so good for me is the side quests, demon doors and collecting all the named weapons took up a lot of my time so I had fun. Fable 2 is going to add a lot more of that content so it should give me a good amount of game time.

I did the same thing myself on the first. Had a hero completely maxed out with all the legendary weapons, all demon doors opened, and a fully furnished house in every city. I must say though, it is still fun to this day to have a whole town following you, then force-pushing them all to their deaths.

October 21st, 2008. Mark it, just before Halloween!! I don't get it the first Fable was also released on the Mac but not the PC, WTF? Now this one is only releasing on the 360 but most 360 games that are exclusives are releasing on the 360 and PC. I'm still confused, hopefully they'll release on the PC. Until then I'll have to play Fable II on the 360 because its an Action RPG.

Those are two different stories. RB2 is a timed exclusive yes because M$ paid for it. Fable 2 is an exclusive overall because MS owns the studio. Most MS exclusives were released along the PC because Windows is part of MS.
