Has anyone here ever tried to get your family into playing game or maybe a particular game be it video or table top? My little sister is the definition of causal gamer she'll play something like Diablo 3 or Borderlands just for fun but that was the extent of what she played I just got Divinity Orginal Sin for my PS4 and asked her to play because it has co-op play and she actually sat down and actually started learning the game. When we finished the session because I had to go to work she was excited to play it again. I am so proud of her in the dorkyest way possible.

When we were kids me and my brothers would take turns on Mario games and so on. Then as we got older and PlayStaion came we just to hook 4 controllers up and do 2v2 on NHL games. Then we got older and we mostly went more to solo based games. We will play some FPS games together sometimes but we are all more for having the whole screen to ourselves rather than half.

Not so much anymore, but my family were gamers so I got into it because of them. It's why I love older console style games like I do and why I am such an LoZ fan. My mom especially was great at them, still is when she feels like playing one.

To name a few..
My father was fantastic at Street Fighter(Zangief, we would complain about the amount of controller sticks he broke because of that) and his side also had a fair share of game enthusiasts so every Christmas my dad would relentlessly piledrive them in MvC, it came to the point to where one of my cousins(now fondly called Boo-Boo) started crying.
Another of my cousins(also my father's side) looooved Resident Evil/Silent Hill, every time he would force us into a dark room when all the adults were out and refuse to let us out no matter how much we begged him to. He threatened continuous family bonding sessions if we told our parents what we saw.
This summer I tried to get the new generation(6-15) interested in the original Warcraft and Starcraft but they said it looked too old. I turned on whosyourdaddy/poweroverwhelming for them and then they kept waking me in the morning asking why Arthas was an asshole.

We even had some online 1vs1 Quake III Arena duels. :P
By now, I'm the only one still playing videogames though.
