Farewell PS2

The only Tales games that were released over Stateside for the system, were Tales of Legendia and Tales of the Abyss, while some others stayed in Japan and were never released here. Of the two, Abyss was one of the best games I've ever played, so you should definetly get that one. I never finished the .hack games even though I still have the original first four games.

For all it's flaws and ridiculous shovelware, it was still a great system with a lot of great games.

I was sad the day I found this out

I'm really annoyed how the newer model PS3s are no longer backwards compatible, though I really wanted the extra memory.

At least a bunch of PS2 games have been ported over to the PS3 such as Shadow of the Colossus, Jak and Daxter, Sly Cooper, and Metal Gear. I do wish they would port over other ones, such as Onimusha and Kingdom Hearts (Having my fingers crossed they port over the Final Mix versions).

Man I remember the one thing i did when i went to my cousin's house was play on his PS2. I would go out and get one right now but I'm a little strapped for cash and i think it will be fairly difficult to track down all the games i want anyhow.

I got a ps3 when it first came out, so mine is backwards compatible all the way back to ps1 games. So I don't really play my ps2 anymore, but I will always cherish my time with it. So many countless hours playing Final Fantasy 10, Dynasty Warriors, Onimusha, and so many other great games.

PS2 is the best system I ever owned, so many fond memories. I still have my fat PS2 from 2001, I plan on getting it modded one of these days.

My fat PS2 will remain alive for the foreseeable future (even though it's not reading discs properly sometimes) thanks to the power of softmodding. I still have games I need to play on it after all.

PS2 was the best console i ever had. Money wasn't so important those days to the gaming companies.

I'm currently playing True Crime: NYC (2005) on my Ps2. I got the game thru download and burned it on a dvd. I also have the Ar Tonelico 1 and 2. Haven't finished AT2 yet.

I guess I would just have to buy a ps2 if I ever wanted to play kingdom hearts again.

Not exactly.. Their making a re-hd version for the PS3.. it includes "Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts 2, Kingdom Heart Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hearts 365/2 days.. if Im not mistaken
