Games this year.

So lots of good games are coming out this year and i wanted to know what games people are going to get and why? :]
In my opinion I would like to get Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword, because its LOZ who doesn't like that? Duke Nukem forever is another game i want to get because i'm getting tired of these other same old FPS. I have lots more on my wish list but to many to list :P.

Mortal kombat 9:
- i have been playing it for 13 year's desu and all the character's are badass and unique desu.

Socom:
-32 FUCKING PLAYERS DESU!!! AND ITS NOT A FPS DESU!!!

Twisted metal:
The best car combat game ever(and only one) desu.Sweet tooth is the perfect example of why many people are scared of clown's desu.

Uncharted 3:
-THE BEST FUCKING GRAPHIC'S ON OF THIS GENERATION DESU!! AMAZING STORY TOO DESU!

I'm not really big on studying up (and by extension hyping up) games that are coming out in the months ahead. As a result, my list is inevitably going to be shallow compared to the amount of games I get that come out this year, and that I consider "great" games.

So far, it has only been Dragon Age 2. But on my list of games that I am likely to get this year would be Mass Effect 3, Modern Warfare 3, Pokemon Black/White, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, and that's it so far. All of those games I expect to be "great" by my standards.

For me i cant wait to get Infamous 2 which comes out in June, but i hope the creators don't mess up the game

Also, I thought CoD MW3 was just a rumor since the Infinity Ward fell apart to create Respawn Entertainment?

I really only care about one game only this year, and that game is Catherine. I would happily swallow anything Atlus pumps out.

And that was more erotic than I thought it would be.

Batman Arkham City: I want to know if it will pick up after arkham asylum, and what new enemies will emerge with it.

Apparently Dead Island is coming out this year too. Going to get that cause zombies with an RPG element sounds like fun. I also want to get Mass Effect 3 and Uncharted 3.

There are probably others but I can't think of them or don't know the release dates.

Big fan of Batman and it looks like it is aiming to be my GOTY for this year.

I'm not looking forward to any of this year's games, except for TES5 maybe. All others seem to generic to me, i'd rather buy some classic *i still need to get my hands on Xenosaga trilogy and Xenogears* Sure i have them burned on a CD/DVD but, pirated copies are just not as awsm

I'm looking forward to:

- Dark Souls
- NGP (if it is released this year)
- Disgaea 4
- TTT2
- TvsSF

Man, LoZ makes me sad. I thought I would be excited about it, but it is coming out like in 2 (?) months and I sorta don't even care. I don't know why, and I still plan to check it out, but right now it is lost somewhere the back of my mind.

Aliens: Colonial Marines (been waiting for this game since GameInformer did an article on it a few years ago)
Battlefield 3 (Do I really need a reason?)
Brink (run 'n' gun, class-based MP is a major selling point for me)
Dead Island (It's the bastard child of Dead Rising 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Borderlands and Far Cry. What's not to love?)
Mass Effect 3 (I've played the first two games and I wanna see what happens next.)
Rage (Id makes high quality shooters and this one doesn't look to dissapoint.)

I know what you mean. I got pretty excited about it, but that might very well stem from me personally finding it to be the only thing interesting out of E3 last year. Now I'm just kinda not sure anymore. I'll get it, eventually, but I might not until later in the year or possibly the next.

I think it is because there are so many cool games coming out. Zelda is going to be familar - temples, heart pieces, fishing, etc.. Even the one-to-one motion control (that does seem to look interesting) is not selling the game to me because I THOUGHT YOU WERE GOING TO BE ABLE TO DO THAT IN THE LAST GAME. So it isn't a exciting >.>

Number 1 game to me right now is ME3 later this year (?) and Batman. Uncharted 3 is at the top too if it is coming out this year.

I feel the same way, and similarly like it's because they're not doing anything that different with Skyward Sword. Going from Ocarina, MM was in the same mould but brilliantly dark, then WW was radically different, and TP had the new controls and a sexier, edgier feel. I haven't seen that much footage of SS, admittedly, but it just seems a bit too light and airy in comparison.

I have no doubt that it will be a brilliant game to play through, but it will have nothing on the cinematic experience, the engrossment and the visceral action of ME3 (assuming they don't play to the Halo clichés). Which reminds me, I need to find the money for the DLC. I hate to think that I might have grown of adventure games in preference of shooters, though. :(
