Gaming Keyboard and Mice

I am looking for a new keyboard and mouse to replace my Razer Lycosa and Lachesis. They are starting to show a-lot of ware and some of the keys on my keyboard won't go up and down smoothly. I was looking at the Razer Blackwidow for the keyboard but it doesn't have any dedicated media controls and it was only green, also I was looking at the Razer Taipan just because it looked good and it went with the green. Could anybody recommend any new ones that would be better than my original choices. I am looking for something that has a blue or white back light and it doesn't matter if it is mechanical or not and I am using it for FPS games and also some light MMO gaming.
Thanks in advance

Mouse: I use a Razor Razor DeathAdder. It's good and all, but it eventually starts glitching and double clicking or not clicking at all.
So, I would NOT recommend the Razor Death-adder.
I don't have the Logitech G700 Mouse, but it looks decent, and Logitech are a very quality company.
Keyboard: Right now I'm using a Logitech Gaming Keyboard G110, it works quite well, it even has programmable hot-keys.
But I'm saving up for a Das Keyboard Model S Ultimate, It has a very great sound when you press a key, and is very reliable.
I'd recommend the Das Keyboard. There are different models with the keys printed on, they all don't have keys.

Guess Razer mice have the same problem, my Lachesis has that exact same issue.

My Razer Lachesis Still works great and it is 4 years old. It's just starting to loose its rubberized coating and starting to look ugly.

Im using regular keyboard with card reader and my mouse is Oscar X7.
In keyboard wise, id doesent much matter. choose what is comfortable for you.
In mouse, take something that you like.
Bigger the mouse the better. emphasis on comfort rather than function.
I like my Oscar X7. Its nice, comfortable in my hand and i can build macros for it, example auto fire, 3x shell burst, or run the akimbos. Or add buy all items in CS 1,6
ALSO GET A MOUSE WITH CABLE!
Batteries suck.

Had the same exact problem with my Razer Deathadder, worked great for 3 years, until it eventually started to double click. I'm currently using the M6900, very impressed given that it was $30. As for keyboard, I'm using the microsoft sidewinder x5. I'm satisfied with the functionality for the price point, but if it ever breaks I will definitely shelf out the money and pick out a mechnical keyboard with macro keys.
I'm done with Razer products until they some how win me back. Their products are over priced and are often unreliable. Most gamers that I know have had a razer mouse/keyboard/headset sometime or another and they all had a bad experience with it.

I use a generic dell keyboard to game, its old but it doesnt give me any problems, its just whatever is comfortable for you.
As for the mouse, I have a Razer Imperator that I have had for over a year now and I love it, its comfortable and my hand never gets tired. Its just a bit more on the expensive side, if you have never heard of the Cyborg gaming mice you should look at those too, not quite as comfortable as a Razer mouse but they are really good quality and are highly customizable.

Frankly, my old Logitech G500 started getting that double clicking problem, I guess its just a universal manufacturing problems with mice. Right now I'm using a CM Storm Sentinel Advanced II, though its quite big so if you have small hands beware.
For my keyboard I use a CM Storm Quickfire Pro with Cherry MX Brown switches. In terms of switches, Browns are sort of all rounders, but I'm looking to get a blues cause I really like the clicks.
God I think I help CM too much, in total I have a CM mouse, keyboard, case, and power supply.

I use a Deathadder[The 4G one has a blue one I think, at least mine is]. Some mice depend on the style of grip you're using on your mouse, and sometimes the mice aren't accustomed to your type of grip etc. eg. My grip is a claw grip, but not exactly sure because I partly touch the mouse with my upper palm and I also use fingers.
If you are a heavy mmo gamer, I recommend the Razer Naga or a R.A.T MMO 7, both have tons of macros, the R.A.T also allows you to customize alot of the parts, thats the beauty of Cyborg products, you can also check out their keyboards.
Keyboard, if you want mechanical I strongly discourage a Blackwidow, don't listen to that 'RAZER IS DA BESTU!' BS. I have a CM Storm Trigger[This is red, but has awesome lighting modes.] atm, like above, pricing at about 120. I enjoy it so far, but it really depends on what you like, took a while to get used to because the macros are on the left which didn't exist on my last keyboard.
The DAS Line are good keyboards which aren't flashy and are just simple mechanical keyboards that last long.
-NOTE- IF YOU'RE GOING TO GET MECHANICAL, RESEARCH THE TYPE OF CHERRY MX YOU WANT, I THINK FOR GAMERS THE SILENT REDS/BLACKS ARE GOOD. I USE BLUES WHICH ARE LOUD. BROWNS ARE IN THE MIDDLE.
Still, I think you should get mechanical if you have the budget, because once you go mechanical you can't go back, the feelings of the keys are somewhat different but unexplainable. If you are able to go to a nearby keyboard shop, try some of the ones that look appealing to you, if you can type perfectly on those you can decide to get it or not, you wouldn't really need macro's on a keyboard, you have function keys and numbers.
P.S.I'm sorry if I didn't read :P Was in a hurry and did some quick forum checking.

Why dose everybody say Razer sucks? I owned my Razer Lachesis and Lycosa for 4 years now and they work fine, I also owned the Razer Electra headphones and they sounded great and they are built great especially for being plastic. I just asked for a recommendation because I wanted a new mechanical keyboard and a mouse that went with it aesthetically plus I just like new things.

Razer or Steel series and some of the better ones to buy from a really nice mouse is the R.A.T 9 by cyborg. It really depends what you like how much control you want over the mouse and price

You guys are really making me jealous. I'm just using standard mouse and keyboards you can find at Wal-Mart or so. $10 a piece.

Wired or wireless?
OT: No suggestions, but I'm on laptop keys as well (Dell XPS 15z) and a Logitech Laser wireless mouse. It's comfortable, but recently it's been on a bad clicking habit. One click will either double or not at all.

For a mouse in the gaming direction I'd recommend a Logitech G500 Gaming Mouse, I've used the mouse that it was built upon and it worked great, that mouse is basically the same thing.
Now for a keyboard tho, you don't really need much unless you're playing WoW or Starcraft/Warcraft where you need to know how to massively macro everything, at once. Right now I myself am using just a regular keyboard and I play League, Dota 2, Counter-Strike and most other games.
Edit: Also, for anyone having the clicking problem, try cleaning it, I had a similar problem and all I did was clean it, it works perfectly fine now.

A mouse I 'borrowed' from my old school 2 years ago. It works. If it didn't then I wouldn't be using it.
Keyboard
The keyboard my dad got when he bought his new computer back in 2005. It works.

If you have the money a M.M.O 7 would be pretty good
Tried razer, but the mouse didn't really feel like a fit to me. I can just readjust the M.M.O 7 to whatever I want really
