I'm currently downloading this and going into it blind, looks like the project was pretty recently finished. However I have heard enough good things about Front Wing to give it a shot.
Anyone have any spoiler free opinions?

Well I'm torrenting it off of Deathmarine since he's pretty reliable, but if I had to say this game is fahking huge(byte-wise) so I have some pretty high expectations since the last game I've played that was this big was Fate Stay Night. I actually thought this would be some sort of Nukige because of the whole "harem-garden" appeal but I'm glad I am wrong.

My belief of it being a nukige arose from the phrase "orchid-cum-prison" found in the VNDB description, but after a bit of common sense (google) I realized that the cum in this has nothing to do with ejaculating. Though I could have taken a hint from the lack of nudity on the cover that's also common sense.

According to Wikitionary:
cum:
Used in indicating a thing with two roles, functions, or natures, or a thing that has changed from one to another.
"He built a bus-cum-greenhouse (= he converted a bus to a greenhouse) that made a bold statement, but the plants in it didn't live very long."
So, an orchard-cum-prison would be an orchard turned into a prison.

You got way too used to the vulgar form of it. lol

In any case Grisaia is a trilogy which continues the story in a chronological order (you mean a sequel is supposed to compliment a series!?). I think they are probably just going to use the normal ending routes to lay the basis for the sequels which makes the most sense since it leaves for the reconquering of the heroines..which sounds like it might get tedious to reconquer the same heroine after the first time.

I'd like to know some opinions from the players too, I downloaded this out of curiosity, hoping it would be another pleasant surprise like G-Senjou no Maou was, but unfortunately I haven't started it yet. Too much World of Tanks. :V

So I finished Grisaia no Kajitsu. Most of the humor is hilarious so it was quite pleasant to read for long periods of time. Some of the content is on the Sci-Fi side of things (Michiru's route), but it's a minor dissatisfaction if a dissatisfaction at all. I read some reviews about how the overarching story is lacking, and I would have to agree. I think the thought process on making this VN was to introduce the characters in this first game, and then continue the overarching story in the later games. After finishing the first game I'm left wanting more. Unfortunately, I doubt it'd be as pleasant to read the other games with a text-hook and machine translations.
So should you pick it up? Yea, it's worth getting introduced to the characters and their individual plots. The overarching story is brushed up on, but never detailed in any concrete way - a good way to build hype. If you can stand that type of tease, then start reading.
All the character routes have a conclusive ending similar to G-Senjou no Maou, but the key differences between the two is that Grisaia doesn't have a "true route", or what I like to call overarching story - at least not in the first game. G-Senjou no Maou has a bit of detective fiction where Grisaia does not, but they both have a good balance between humor and seriousness.

I'm something like 6 hours in and I am enjoying myself enough to keep going.
Which is a good sign considering I drop things pretty easily.

I stumbled over this game by chance and am overjoyed to hear that it was made by the makers of G-Senjou. (edit: G-Senjou was made by akabeisoft2)
And what i didn't know: There are sequels to this one? On which storypart are they build upon?

Spoilers, hide that stuff. Yes there are sequels and I theorize that the part they continue on is the common route, also I'm fairly certain that Akabeisoft2 not Frontwing-but if they have devs from Akabeisoft2 then I'm wrong.

Think Majikoi but the main character is a super-badass who nobody will ever mess with...yet.

There is a common route, which will probably relate to the sequel.

Ah ok, there are already story addons. But ... which addon covers the "full" or common route? Or is there a new addon coming?

Yeah, totally right, Frontwing = Grisaia no Kajitsu / Akabeisoft2 = G-Senjou no Maoh. Was confused by some Wiki-Entries and the similarity.

Well using VNDB as my source apparently the chronological order goes Kajitsu -> Meikyuu -> Rakuen with all of them contributing to an storyline that encompansses the entire series.

I was playing and was like hmmm, why does Michiru seem so familiar? Then,
I just found out that these three things have something in common.

Finally, took me a while to finished this. Heckuva long rise, and a great ride it was.
Many says that Makina is best route storywise, but I myself prefer Yumiko or Amane.
Obviously the story isnt over yet. Anticipating the sequel.
Btw, Irisu Makina = Natsume Rin = Naoe Riki = Sasasegawa Sasami
Sakaki Yumiko = Kurugaya Yuiko
*shock desu*

I finally got around to finishing my first arc.
(I had a busy summer, the journey to play on league and two jobs!)
Amane's route was amazing, I won't spoil anything but I'd rate it pretty high on my list.
