How was it confirmed to be canon?

That stuff is not really consistent so they might scratch the idea of a dead Potemkin anyway. It was his main ending in AC where he shielded Gabriel from an explosion, died, and they built a statue in his memory. Potemkin's new outfit supports that ending since he might be re-animated and on life support by that body suit now.

The mysterious character has been revealed, for those not in the know.

The new character is a man that fights from his bed. They have placed my grandfather into the game.

Ramletherl Valentine will probably be the final boss of the game, but man dat face... so kawaii. <3

Still waiting on them to reveal Baiken, Bridget, and Dizzy for this game, and my life will be complete. TBH, I can't imagine a GG game without Dizzy due to the fact that she was a staple character that propelled the games' popularity due to her looks.

I am really liking Valentine's new appearance and declaring war on the world. Theres gonna be alot of action.
From what I see, looks like theres gonna animated cutscenes.
Im positive they will addmore characters. Besides gameplay, pretty sure alot are gonna get involved.
They are going all out for Guilty Gear!

Considering Zato is alive Dizzy probably isn't in this timeline.

You do know Daisuke openly stated he designed Dizzy to cater to doujin creators, right?

Gameplay seems slower than the latest version.

I can KINDA live with no Dizzy, but I need me some Jam.

Ah well, at least I still got Ky. Might pick up Venom or May this time around.

My brother just watched it with me, and he claims it was only slow because it wasn't someone good playing.

Zato and Chipp's victory poses are too good.

I take back what I said about Dizzy not being around.

Her kid is in the game and they resurrected Zato-ichi. I give up on fighting game story mode.

I think they'll eventually add Dizzy and the rest, don't most arcade fighters start out with a small roster then get updated with more characters as time goes on? I know when Persona 4 Arena came out it only had seven characters but went on to add the P3 characters and Shadow Labrys.


And it's way too early to be calling characters top tier but Japan seems to think Axl is REALLY good right now.

That is because AXL has scrub tier tactics of Zoning that players can't deal with right now because of the slight learning curve. (Still not as bad as zoning characters from other games).

I'm not saying zoning is a scrub tactic, but Axl has this stupid stance that hits high and low in a pattern from far away. It looks like you can actually hit his chain though while it is out and counter-hit him.
