Heroes of Newerth VS. League of Legends

In terms of about everything, I find LoL to be far superior to HoN. In an argument between evolutionary and revolutionary gameplay, I much prefer the latter. Instead of creep deny wars you have to focus on poking and farming. Instead of super-single HoN carry's that pub stomp games you have to fight as a somewhat coordinated group. I do say somewhat as coordination between strangers is limited in both games.
The differences really show in champion gameplay. Rather than a plain empty cursor to target your abilities, LoL gives you a specific targeting retinal for all targeted spells that shows both rang and area of effect. LoL also has more unique hero's like Singed. Find me another fighting game where your primary form of attack is running in circles. Balance can be argued to both games, claiming HoN carries are stupid strong and champion balance is never perfect in league. If your worried about the competitive scene, I am unsure if HoN has recently had a challengers circuit with brackets like LoL.

My brother played HoN once. He chose a turtle who flung bubbles or something and kept saying "When I was your age, dirt was newer." ...Yeah. He said it was really stupid.

Dota 2. Come on guys.
For LoL, there's one thing inherently bad about it: it's easier accessibility attracts all the brats and kids that never listen. It might be better if there were more ragers instead of people feeding all the time and instead of listening to advice or criticism, they say, "u mad?"

This.
Well, you'll have to excuse us if DotA2 seems too intimidating just because of the hardcore elitists everywhere.

By the time it comes out of beta, it will have a tutorial mode, and matchmaking will (hopefully) be more friendly. Also, I didn't play HoN, and went to Dota2 as soon as I could after playing League as my first MOBA. The community's intimidating, but if you really want to learn, don't let that stop you. I didn't let it stop me.

On topic, LoL.
I love DotA and DOTA2. But if I had to choose a secondary game, I prefer LoL.

League, Just league. If I had to choose a secondary game then it would be Dota2. I have never played HoN and I will probably never do.

[color=red]Haven't played LoL. I guess that's game is for Casual MOBA gamers (from reputation)...
Meanwhile HoN is much fast paced game. I like some unique heroes at there (Engineer and Kraken)
My vote goes to HoN, since there's no DotA2 option.

[color=#9400D3]Dota is far slower paced and much more strategic, LoL on the other hand has some fast paced movement and skills. Somehow like how you described HoN.
