HRPG suggestions

As the topic implies anybody got any hrpg suggestions? I've played a few. Which ones do you think are worth playing? Any genre no restrictions.

I would recommend:

Melty's Quest (relatively simple but fun gameplay)
Karryn's Prison (unique and very fun gameplay, still a wip)
Vitami Quest (has some extreme content, discretion is advised)
Kamidori Alchemy Meister (actually a fully fledged SRPG (like 50+ hours), but with some hentai in it)
Ouroboros (great story but lackiluster art)
Sengoku Rance (very fun and addictive gameplay, also relatively long if you want all routes)
Monster Girl Quest (great coming-of-age story, technically an RPG but VERY linear, has a yet unfinished RPG-Maker sequel)

That should be enough for a good while.

Thanks for the recommendations I'll definitely check them out.

I second Kamidori and any of the Rance games (there are a lot of them). I also recommend Ideology in Friction which is a decent RPG with an interesting plot and good art. It's definitely a hentai one since in battles you can use standard magic and stuff but if you go down the slut route you can fight with like, sex techniques as well lol There's a lot more depth to it than I thought there'd be.

I would 100% suggest the Legend of Queen Opala games, not only a good hentai game but a really good RPG, like the classic Final Fantasy's.
Start with Legend of Queen Opala 1 Gold Edition, then move on to Legend of Queen Opala 2 and by the time you are finished the third game Legend of Queen Opala Origins will likely be finished.
Just an FYI content wise, it does involve a lot of women being taken by monsters and beasts, if that isn't your thing. The first game didn't have a lot of story hentai scenes, mostly it was image cards you picked up in game and could view in your inventory and the repeatable sex was just audio, but again, great as a classic RPG so you could play a lot of it SFW.

The second game is what I consider the best so far, more scenes, more art, a much bigger game after the success of the first, a lot of people start with LOQO II but I wouldn't recommend it just on the grounds that LOQO I is good and should be played, but playing it after 2 would just be so much of a step back, better to play 1 and then have your mind blown by 2.

As for the 3rd game, Legend of Queen Opala Origins, you can play the first 3 "episodes" but personally I would wait until it is done so all the parts come together and any changes or bug fixes won't effect you. From what is already out, I wouldn't say it is as great as 2, just that for me it focuses too much on the main character and that character just happens to be not very likable. Content wise it really suffered from some fan reactions to 1 and 2 that complained about monster sex and the main character not getting enough, now it seems to mostly focus on him with very few other scenes with monsters and even fewer other males at all, in fact you can count the number of other major males in the story on one hand. But on the other hand as an RPG it is the best so far, lots of interesting mechanics and features, in fact the game has a sexless Streamer mode where you just play an RPG with spicy dialogue if you really wanted.

In short they are really recommended but just be aware of the shortcomings in game 1, the games got much bigger and better afterwards when the creator was able to work on them full time.

Thanks I'll check it out. I've actually heard of the game before but never got around to it. But I love me a good rpg and with some hentai even better. I'll definitely check it out thanks.

Just keep in mind that the first two games were made on modest budgets. So the art is a bit... off... here and there.
The third game is the first that got crowdfunded and has a real budget, so quality takes a huge jump after the second game.

So I've played the first game and I see what you mean about the art. Honestly I don't mind it and the rpg elements are pretty good. Overall I enjoyed the game. I already beat the main game and now in the middle of doing all the extra stuff might even play again to get the other endings. If the next games have the same level of gameplay or better than I won't be disappointed and if art improves even better.

So I tried and played most of what others have suggested and I enjoyed most of them like Kamidori Alchemy Meister, Ideology in Friction, and LOQO. they were all really fun. The only one I had trouble playing was the Rance games. I didn't know where to start and how to download some of the older games. Other than that thanks for the suggestions. And of course if anyone ever has more suggestions the more the merrier but I'll be busy with the ones I have for a while.

Glad you enjoyed it. The first game is really the shortest and simplest in terms of plot. The second one introduces a ton of more lore and features and the third one takes a huge jump in quality thanks to the bigger budget. To give you some perspective: The first demo of the second game was bigger than the whole first game.

Rance games are heavy on plot, lore and continuity making it hard to start anywhere but the start if you don't know what's going on. The maker realized that those early games are so off with the rest now that they remade the first three ones too and may do so with more entries. The series really found it's footing with the 3rd entry but even that has recuring characters from the first two...
Let's just say that Rance is a series fans may play even more for the plot than the H. If that's not your thing the franchise ain't for you.

Depends on the game. Sengoku Rance has super fun gameplay so I played the shit out of that one. I think I played it 5 times. Helps that there's plenty of routes and new game+ rewards too. Rance VI also has really good gameplay and story. Though I will agree that I definitely did not play for the H lol. It wasn't bad per se, but everything else was just better.

Does it have to be RPG, or can it be an eroge featuring 'gameplay'? Anyway, my favorite RPGs:

Toushin Toshi - It's availible for free, get the prepatched version, then apply the fanpatch(fixes many issues). Same universe as Rance, and it's also canon.

Toushin Toshi 2 - Also my favorite, improves on the original in many ways, but it's more a spiritual sequel and it's own universe\setting, not part of the Rance or original one. Also freeware, get the prepatched version, then apply the fan patch.

Brave Soul - Diablo like combat, and multiple romance options(no harem iirc), what's not to like?

Bunny Black - A bit darker(contain some forced content). party based turn based RPG, the Sequel is just as good, sadly the third game was never translated.

Men at Work 2 - Another one of my all time favorites, story is ok. Multiple romance options(though you need to clear previous routes to access further options\routes etc, only 2 heroines can be romanced the first playtrough) and a turn-based combat.

Utawarerumono has a great story, but it is the definition of linear(choices make no difference at all, only one path).

Tear s of Tiara - Same as the previous one, good story, but completely linear with only one ending.

Seinarukana -The Spirit of Eternity Sword 2- Not actually played this one, though I played the prequel(which has no adult content in the english release). Story in the first one was pretty good(if not a bit clichè), so if this is anything like the prequel, then it'd be a great story, with branching endings\romance choices. The combat is more automated though.

Beat Angel Esclayer Reboot - Can turn glasses on\off. Combat is kind of action-paced turn based iirc. Though most scenes are focused around the main heroine.

Daibanchou -Big Bang Age- - Kinda like Sengoku Rance, but a different universe(more a school theme iirc).

Kingdom(in english translation) - Not really an RPG, more a dating sim. Lots of different paths\romance options(a bit buggy sadly). This is just overall one of the games that got me into HGames(With gameplay, I can't stand VNs).

Duel Savior - Figthing game. Story is ok(a bit too clichè for me), protagonist is very hit-miss. Like Men at Work 2, you need to clear previous routes to unlock further routes(start with 2 options, after clearing both you're given either 1 or 2 more). Feature a light leveling up mechanic, but it's primarily a figthing game.

I have plenty more(all english translated, either fan or officially localised), but the post is already gotten pretty long, lol. So I'll leave it at that.

Hey thanks for the suggestions. And actually yeah any games with gameplay would be cool. I've actually played bunny black and brave souls they were pretty good I enjoyed them. Other than that I haven't played the others you've suggested. Thanks again I'll definitely check them out.

I'd recommend pretty much do a filtered check on VNDB for gameplay(it's far form a complete list, but it's pretty good) - RPGs, Strategy, Action Games, Simulation.

Some might just be partial translations(easy to see on the actual page), as the filtering of that doesn't seem to work anymore. Rance 01\02 is also out of Beta so will probably be released soon(My personal guess is September).

A few honorary mentions: Castle Fantasia 2(basically fire emblem), Evenicle, Leane of Legitimate Crown(NTR-ish), The Spirit Master of Retarnia, Yumina the Ethereal, Minna Daisuki Kozukuri Banchou. All of which are essentially the AAA of eroge industry(if there were to be such a thing).

I also have a pretty extensive list of RPGMaker and Wolf RPG titles, though I haven't catalogged them into Playnite, so a bit more difficult to share at this point, lol. But Life is Paradise! recieved a Fan Translation not too long ago, it's basically a harvest-moon type game if you're into that.

SellecksMustache Tomboy Enjoyer
Most of the good stuff has been listed, but I'd also recommend Evenicle and Evenicle 2 (Evenicle 2 has a demo on steam now, it's currently being translated directly by alicesoft. Demo's pretty gud).

Just a warning though, the first Evenicle can get really messed up in some parts. Not sure if that applies to the sequel

If you don't hate RPG Maker games, try some stuffs from Kagura Games.

I'd suggest Fallen ~Makina and the City of Ruins~, Liz ~The Tower and the Grimoire~.

I'll second the Kagura games. Also Princess and Conquest is pretty good.
